We have received information that the liberty and life of Badee Izzat Aref, prominent Iraqi lawyer to Tariq Aziz and several members of the government of President Saddam Hussein, is in danger.Aref has been under US house arrest for 17 days and the Maliki government is demanding he be handed over by US authorities to face charges of defaming the Iraqi judicial system following comments he allegedly made on the unfair trials and summary executions of President Saddam Hussein and others.Given the Maliki government's eagerness in summarily executing its political opponents -- including their lawyers -- we have firm reason to believe that Aref is in immediate danger of being tortured and/or assassinated.On 21 June 2006, lawyer Khamis Al-Obaidi, defence counsel for late President Saddam Hussein, was tortured and assassinated in Baghdad, joining lawyers Sadoun Al-Janabi, killed in October 2005, and Adel Al-Zubaidi, killed in November 2005. In all cases, witnesses alleged the Iraqi government was involved. Al-Obaidi was the ninth person connected with the trial of President Hussein to be killed.Throughout the proceedings of the Iraqi Special Tribunal lawyers were repeated threatened. This fact alone is testament that all defendants before the Iraqi Special Tribunal faced unfair trials.The United States is directly responsible under international lawWe remind occupation authorities that Badee Izzat Aref is a protected person under international humanitarian law, which governs the US occupation, and has guaranteed rights under international human rights law.[i] International humanitarian and human rights law outlaws torture and summary execution, incommunicado detention, the ill treatment of detainees, or denial of access to legal counsel.Further, Aref -- as a human rights defender -- is additionally protected by the UN Declaration on Human Rights Defenders.[ii] It is a grave violation of international humanitarian law to put protected persons in danger by consciously handing them over to any party that might violate their fundamental human rights. The Pentagon’s latest approach is being called "the Salvador option"—and the fact that it is being discussed at all is a measure of just how worried Donald Rumsfeld really is. "What everyone agrees is that we can’t just go on as we are," one senior military officer told NEWSWEEK. "We have to find a way to take the offensive against the insurgents. Right now, we are playing defense. And we are losing." Last November’s operation in Fallujah, most analysts agree, succeeded less in breaking "the back" of the insurgency—as Marine Gen. John Sattler optimistically declared at the time—than in spreading it out Now, NEWSWEEK has learned, the Pentagon is intensively debating an option that dates back to a still-secret strategy in the Reagan administration’s battle against the leftist guerrilla insurgency in El Salvador in the early 1980s. Then, faced with a losing war against Salvadoran rebels, the U.S. government funded or supported "nationalist" forces that allegedly included so-called death squads directed to hunt down and kill rebel leaders and sympathizers. Eventually the insurgency was quelled, and many U.S. conservatives consider the policy to have been a success—despite the deaths of innocent civilians and the subsequent Iran-Contra arms-for-hostages scandal. (Among the current administration officials who dealt with Central America back then is John Negroponte, who is today the U.S. ambassador to Iraq. Under Reagan, he was ambassador to Honduras. There is no evidence, however, that Negroponte knew anything about the Salvadoran death squads or the Iran-Contra scandal at the time. With the fifth anniversary of the ongoing Iraqi agony, President Bush is still trying to change the World but not himself. We should go through the changes he brought creating the “New” Iraq: according to the international organization and UN more than 20% from the Iraqis became under poverty line, more than 700 000 civilians lost their lives; more than 4 million Iraqis became refugees inside and outside Iraq because of the ongoing violence; more than 300 000 poor women were widowed; more than 2 million women became the bread winners of their families; the Baghdad morgue receives more than 60 dead bodies on daily bases. Iraq was destroyed as a country and state by the decrees of Bush viceroy in Iraq Paul Bremer who established the so called the Governing Council on sectarian and ethnic bases that led to the sectarian violence. By dismantling the Iraqi military and security forces; Bremer and the occupation forces let Iraq to be the battle field of Bush war against the alleged terror to make the world safer for the Americans!! on the expense of the Iraqi blood. The whole infrastructure systems were bombed and the general services including electricity, drinking water and fuel became very rare. Yet and to be fair; one should admit the achievements of the “new” Iraq: Iraq became on the top of the corrupted states according to the International Transparency Organization by reaching 70-100% corruption, more than 10 billion dollars were lost! (stolen), Iraqis are gaining perfect bodies because of walking due to the concert barriers and barbwires blocking the streets in front of the cars and running away from the explosions and terrorist actions; the whole ex air forces bases turned into jails!!Bush, Blair and the others coalition invaded Iraq according to false documents regarding the Iraqi WMDs and Saddam’s links with Al-Qaeda. Bush himself had admitted this painful fact yet UN did not ask him to apologize, rebuild Iraq and withdrew. UN even did not ask him to apologize when Abu Gharib scandal was disclosed. Security Council did not ask urgent meeting while Bush was and still violating the all international laws and Geneva Treatments. Four painful years, the world is watching the Iraqi ongoing bleeding silently. It is time that silence in no more golden. We all should recall what Nelson DeMille, the American writer who participated as an officer in the American military forces in Vietnam War, he said, “If everyone howled at every injustice, every act of barbarism, every act of unkindness, then we would be taking the first step towards a real humanity.” It is time to shout: enough is enough; Bush should try to change himself and the Americans should try to change their regime. Sorry for not writing every day or at least every week.. The situation is too painful that could not be described. Yet I received the following letter from a friend; please do read it well and raise your voice; do appeal. Read it well to discover that JUSTICE in Iraq is not but a BAD JOKE.

Below is disturbing information we received from Iraq . The imminent execution of three Iraqi women: Wassan, Zainab and Liqa, without a fair trial, is expected to take place on March 3.

The executions of what they call " Terrorists" and " criminals" in their dozens have been going on over a year now. A public execution took place in Mosul City , North of Iraq, two months ago. however, this is the first time we hear about sentencing women to death. Amnesty International has led the way demanding an end to this practise in the " new Iraq ".

According to Mohamed Khorshid, head of Human rights orgs in Iraq in his statement to Asharq Al Awsat newspaper on 6th April 2006, there are over 2000 women classified as " security detainees " under the supervision of both the occupation and the Iraqi puppet regime, in various prisons, camps and detention centres.

In a recent statement at the Parliament, the Iraqi Minister of Human rights, said that there are over 1000 women security detainees, only to deny her own statement within a day after a public outcry.

This is the signal of the opening of an era of "legal" executions in Iraq . It is a horrible proof that the illegal executions of Saddam Hussein and other Baath leaders were not "isolated" or "exceptional" incidents, but that they laid the groundwork for employment by the Iraqi ruling clique of "judicially sanctioned" executions as a legitimate "measure" against those who oppose their puppet regime and the illegal US occupation.

We believe it is vitally important to protest and take action, to compel the Iraqi authorities to revoke this sentence. Do appeal to relevant institutions and ask them to intervene to stop this. The Supreme Iraqi Criminal Court sentenced the death by hanging of three women, on charges of complicity in the murder of Iraqi police loyal to the occupation in Baghdad and participation in what the Court considered Terrorism.

News from a source in the Iraqi Lawyers Union :

The three women are:

- Wassan Talib (31 years old). The charge is killing five police officers through the participation with gunmen in an attack on police.

- Zainab Fadhil (25 years). The charge is attacking a joint patrol of the Iraqi army and the the American army last September with her husband and Her cousin in Baghdad .

- Liqa Omar Muhammad (26 years old). The charge is the participation with her husband and her brother in the killing of an official from the Green Zone.

Walid Hayali, lawyer and member of The Iraqi Lawyers Union, said the Court issued a ruling against the three women under item 156, without allowing them to engage counsel from a lawyer.

The lawyer asks the whole world to move to stop the execution of the three women and to Condemn the Court's ruling.

He points out that Liqa Omar Muhammad gave birth to her daughter in prison a few months ago and is still nursing the child, and

Wassan Talib has a three-year-old daughter. He explained that the three women are now in "Kazimiah prison" in the Kazimiyah region.

The execution is scheduled for 3 Mars and the trial was not revised in appeal as there was no lawyer to ask for this.

It seems such a terrible crime to execute women who have allegedly killed members of the Iraqi police, when the story of Luana Martiri, a 22-year-old Christian student in Iraq tells us what members of the police and the army are capable of. Executing Saddam; Executing Iraq

After Execution of Saddam; Iraqis lost forever the relations that destroyed their country. Saddam was not sentenced to death because of 148 Iraqis were executed when they planned to assassinate him while visiting Dujail in 1982 when he was President; this sentence came to save the “face” of the White House and many Iraqi politicians who are now key players in Iraq. The whole world remember Bush the father, the vice US president in 1983, saying; “he (Saddam) is our man in the there”! What was the relation between Bush the first and their (man) who drove Iraq to this end? The Iraqis will never discover the odd relation between Saddam and Masoud Barzani whom he helped against the militia of Jalal Talbani, now the Iraqi President, in 1996, to ”liberate” Erbil? Iraqis will never know again the odd relations between Saddam and Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak whom Saddam helped to restore leading Arab League which was shifted to Tunisia after the Egyptian former President Anwar Sadat visited Israel in 1977? Iraqis will never know the reason of the strange meeting between Saddam and Tanzanian retired President Julius Nayriry who visited Baghdad on the last day of 1988; then Saddam announced the forming of the Arab Cooperation Council in February 1989. On that visit, Nayriry said that he came to advice Saddam to establish regional councils to lead the region!! That council made Mubarak knew every thing about Iraq giving the data to US becoming one of the leading Arab leaders toward destroying Iraq. Execution Saddam is the last step of eliminating secrets would make the world to discover how America played changing the face of the region and destroying Iraq. The first step was the Tons of Iraqi official documents taken by US officials on the day Baghdad was occupied. Saddam was executed in the coming days. Who would sentence Bush who executed the whole Iraq? Bush made Iraq drown in Iraqis bloods while still until now telling lies after lies and smiling!! The all crimes committed by Saddam is being committing in Iraq now by the American occupying forces.
Executing a President in Iraq is not a strange matter. Going through the history of the modern Iraq; one can easily see that the all rulers of the modern Iraq, since 1921, were assassinated, executed and massacred brutally. The only President escaped this fate was Abdul Rahman Arif (1966-1968) who toppled by the Ba’thists in 1968.
While Saddam was buried one piece; I mean his body was one piece; only AlMighty Allah knows how the Iraqi “new” rulers would be buried?

Regarding the Iraqis new rulers, the execution is a “victory”. The followers of the Shiite cleric Muqtada Al-Sadr who suspend their participation in the political process protesting the meeting between Bush and the Iraqi Prime Minister weeks ago, said they will activate their participation after the execution. The Iraqis who are losing their country after losing more than 100 civilians every day know very well that the trial of Saddam was not but a political play to give “glory” to Bush who cheated the whole world alleging “Saddam is threatening US security”. Saddam’s lawyers who met him on the day of ratifying the sentence said he was smiling with high morals!! If he was smiling or not; the question is how the Iraqi cause would be finished?
Like it or not; one image no body will forget it: Saddam went to the gallows refusing wearing head cover while his executers were covering their heads and faces!!

Any Body Could Help Marwa?

Marwa Adel Karam, 13 years old, lost her eye because of an American mistake.

At 3.30am, Oct. 30the 2006, a unit from the American DIRTY Tasks Force raided our house in Al-Safina neighborhood- Al-A'dhamiya district. Their pretext was: searching to find the kidnapped American soldier. (An Iraqi tear: An American soldier from Iraqi origin was called Qusay Al-Qaisi was kidnapped from Karrada while he was visiting his Iraq wife family. Al-Qaisi was the cousin of Intifadh Qamber, the spokesman of Ahmed Chalabi the liar who gave Bush the false documents about the Iraqi WMDs.. Qamber was given a military post, he was appointed as the Iraqi military attaché in the Iraqi embassy in the States. That soldier was not found until now). The mother continues saying: their armored vehicles blocked the street. They exploded our door. There was no man in the hose; my husband died years ago; my son in law was detained by the police for sectarian reason. The Americans found no body and nothing in the house. They stole our money, passports and IDs. While exploding the door, shrapnel entered into the right eye of my child Marwa. When they found the crime they committed against an innocent family; they apologized and took Marwa to Ibn Sina hospital in the Green Zone. She was brought back home after 3 days confirming that she needs more two operations as Dr Hamilton recommended. Yet; they did come back again to take her.
Young Marwa; according to her mother, was very clever in her school; but she refused going to her school this year because of her eye.

Another American Crime

The Baker-Hamilton report said that unless the Iraqi government made "substantive progress" on national reconciliation, security, and good governance, the US would have to reduce its political, military, and economic support to that government.
The Kurds were displeased with the report, which recommended that the central government supervise the "distribution" of the oil revenues. Shiites disliked the fact that the report urged dialogue with Baathists and blamed the militia for massacres. And Sunnis were annoyed because the report gave Iran a legitimate role in Iraq.
The strange thing is that those Iraqi officials who often say that Iraq is a sovereign country are the same ones who want the occupation forces to stay in the country. Where is the sovereignty when the US forces killed 17 civilians in Al-Ishaqi, 40 km north of Baghdad, one day after the report? Those who reject the report do so because it conflicts with their own interests. The Kurds, for example, want to annex Kirkuk to their areas -- and the militia leaders want to maintain their grip over the country.
In a telephone conversation, Dr Ayadah Al-Jaghifi, chief of forensic medicine at Tikrit Hospital, told the repoeters that the hospital has received the bodies of 17 people, including two women and five children. All had been killed with a bullet to the head with a small weapon. A US statement earlier claimed that US planes shelled two houses in Al-Ishaqi, killing 17 terrorists, including two women. This would be the third massacre of Iraqi civilians in Al-Ishaqi since May. The families of the victims are stunned by the silence of the government and the Arab and international media. But some are hoping against hope that a US serviceman would speak out to clear his conscience or that a US or western journalist would pick up the story. Otherwise, the case would never be investigated.
Untill that day, when such journslist would publish the story; the Maliki government will stay silence; Bush will say nothing; no invistigations would be.. The victims were IRAQIS; who does care about IRAQIS or of IRAQI blood.

Of Repetition Compulsion, War Crimes, and National Narcissism (Again)

Once Upon a Time...December 9, 2006As a followup to my observations yesterday that nothing will fundamentally alter with regard to our Iraq policy -- regardless of the supposed "seriousness" of the Iraq Study Group, and regardless of the new Democratic Congress -- here are some key excerpts from a recent column by Norman Solomon:
The lead-up to the invasion of Iraq has become notorious in the annals of American journalism. Even many reporters, editors and commentators who fueled the drive to war in 2002 and early 2003 now acknowledge that major media routinely tossed real journalism out the window in favor of boosting war.But it's happening again.The current media travesty is a drumbeat for the idea that the U.S. war effort must keep going. And again, in its news coverage, the New York Times is a bellwether for the latest media parade to the cadence of the warfare state....During the weeks since the midterm election, the New York Times news coverage of Iraq policy options has often been heavy-handed, with carefully selective sourcing for prefab conclusions. Already infamous is the Nov. 15 front-page story by Michael Gordon under the headline "Get Out of Iraq Now? Not So Fast, Experts Say." A similar technique was at play Dec. 1 with yet another "News Analysis," this time by reporter David Sanger, headlined "The Only Consensus on Iraq: Nobody's Leaving Right Now."Typically, in such reportage, the sources harmonizing with the media outlet's analysis are chosen from the cast of political characters who helped drag the United States into making war on Iraq in the first place.What's now going on in mainline news media is some kind of repetition compulsion. And, while media professionals engage in yet another round of conformist opportunism, many people will pay with their lives.With so many prominent American journalists navigating their stories by the lights of big Washington stars, it's not surprising that so much of the news coverage looks at what happens in Iraq through the lens of the significance for American power.Viewing the horrors of present-day Iraq with star-spangled eyes, New York Times reporters John Burns and Kirk Semple wrote -- in the lead sentence of a front-page "News Analysis" on Nov. 29 -- that "American military and political leverage in Iraq has fallen sharply."The second paragraph of the Baghdad-datelined article reported: "American fortunes here are ever more dependent on feuding Iraqis who seem, at times, almost heedless to American appeals."The third paragraph reported: "It is not clear that the United States can gain new traction in Iraq..."And so it goes -- with U.S. media obsessively focused on such concerns as "American military and political leverage," "American fortunes" and whether "the United States can gain new traction in Iraq."With that kind of worldview, no wonder so much news coverage is serving nationalism instead of journalism.In this manner, the status quo protects itself and its prerogatives -- and its propaganda is dutifully amplified by a subservient press. This is why I have maintained that, even after the journalistic debacle of the leadup to the Iraq invasion, the media in this country have learned absolutely nothing. And Ralph Peters may be a repellently extreme and destructive example of this nationalistic narcissism -- with his endless emphasis on what "we" must do in Iraq, even though there never was and never will be any justifiable reason for our invasion and occupation, and despite the slaughter that is the direct result of our actions -- but the identical underlying perspective is revealed by most Americans, and by almost all of our press. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis are dead and horrifically injured -- and still, it's almost all about us.For a further discussion of the moral implications of these incontestable facts, implications that our national leaders, our media and most Americans resolutely refuse to understand and acknowledge, I turn once more to Jacob Hornberger:
Hanging over the Iraq debacle, however, is that one overriding moral issue that unfortunately all too many Americans have yet to confront: neither the Iraqi people nor their government ever attacked the United States or even threatened to do so. Bush the second said praising Nuri Al-Maliki after their Summit in Amman last Thursday!! His father Bush the first described Saddam as “our man” in 1983 after he, Saddam met “my friend- according to Saddam” Donald Rumsfield.. Bush the first was vice president then!!
The Bush’s first man managed to destroy the Iraqi society within years. He became Iraqi President in July 1979. Iraq was on the top of the developing countries heading quickly to be among the developed countries. The five year developing scheme was paid in advance; yet Saddam took the power with $48 billion surpass in the Iraqi Central Bank!! Within years and under his reign Iraq became on the bottom of the developing countries list with more than $330 billion debts!!
His designated was finished; he felt that. He pretended to be a “national hero” ; but there was no time and capacity while the Iraqis were starving because of the embargo (resolution 661- Security Council 1990).
Now, it is the role of the Bush’s second man.. Ahmed Chalabi and Ayad Allawi did their best through providing false documents to Bush who used it as a pretext toward invading- occupying- destroying Iraq. The both were trying to be “our man in Iraq”; yet Maliki became.. Although Chalabi is playing a big role in targeting the Iraqi intellectual trying to restore being the America “strong man” in Iraq; but they began refusing him..
Maliki is their man for many reasons: he is doing his best ignoring the death squads and Shiite militia in black; although he knows very well who is leading and commanding these deadly forces.
Maliki, Bush’s “man in Iraq”, who agreed on the demands of the Iranian directed the so called United Iraqi Coalition appointing Bayan Jabr Soulagh as the minister of the finance.. Soulagh was the minister of interior of Jaafari. He was and still the “hero” of the death squads and the torture secret centers. He created using electric drill as a unique torture instrument!!
Being a minister of the finance, Soulagh began achieving the second stage of the Iranian campaign toward controlling Iraq and keeping Bush far from Iran. The price of the dollar is coming down very quickly while the prices of the food stuff and fuel are heading up. The second stage against the Iraqis began last Saturday and still going on. The Iraqis who are being killing by the death squads will be killed by cold and starving if Iran and Soulagh will continue pumping dollars I the Iraqi markets..

Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim denied saying, “Sunnis will loss more if a civil war begins”. Al-Jazeera first put this “statement after Al-Hakim met by King Abdullah of Jordan.. then the media networks began repeating it.. The spokesman of the Jordanian Royal Court denied the statement too.
Al-Hakim denied saying that a civil war will affect the whole Iraqis.
Personally, I do not respect Al-Hakim; yet one should be fair. It is not the first time Jazeera plays a role in inciting sectarian war in Iraq.. Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, assured weeks ago while celebrating the tenth year of Al-Jazeera, “Jazzera is a strategic scheme”.. Every body knows; Al-Thani led a coup against his father who was refusing relations and links with Israel.. Al-Thani began open relations with Israel. Whenever there is a high-ranking Israeli official in Qatar; Al-Jazeera airs a videotape of Bin Laden or Al-Dhawahri.. So; I think it is clear now why Al-Jazeera is inciting a sectarian war in Iraq.

Death tolls in Iraq are hitting all time highs and the worst cases of sectarian violence of the entire war are rampant throughout the country. Amid the chaos, the government has declared that everything is going well enough in Iraq for forces to be withdrawn. This statement is accurate, the strategy has always been one of dissolution and destabilization. We are not "cutting and running" because the mission has been accomplished.
The AP is reporting:
In the deadliest attack on a sectarian enclave since the beginning of the Iraq war, suspected Sunni-Arab militants used three suicide car bombs and two mortar rounds on the capital's Shiite Sadr City slum to kill at least 150 people and wound 238 on Thursday, police said.
The Shiites responded almost immediately, firing 10 mortar rounds at the Abu Hanifa Sunni mosque in Azamiya, killing one person and wounding 14 people in an attack on the holiest Sunni shrine in Baghdad.
Sectarian fighting also broke in another part of northern Iraq on Thursday, when 30 Sunni insurgents armed with machine guns and mortars attacked the Shiite-controlled Health Ministry building.
The U.N. also this week reported that 3,709 Iraqi civilians were killed in October, the highest monthly toll of the war. More than 3,700 were killed, with hundreds "bearing signs of torture and execution-style killing", said the report.
If this isn't civil war then what is?

Meanwhile yesterday in Parliament, the British Foreign Secretary, Margaret Beckett, stated that the process of transferring security responsibilities to the Iraqi security forces is well under way. She said that she expected the coalition to hand over in Najaf province next month and in Maysan in January. Indeed, things were going so well in Basra that she had confidence that we may achieve transition in the spring.
The machinations of the Machiavellian's are unfolding according to plan. Let Iraq cascade into chaos and dilute the insurgency by manipulating it to become fractious and watch in-fighting ensue.
Top analysts in the CIA and State Department, as well as large numbers of Middle East experts, warned that a U.S. invasion of Iraq could result in a violent ethnic and sectarian conflict.
Stephen Zunes, professor of Politics and chair of the Peace & Justice Studies Program at the University of San Francisco, recently wrote,
"One of the long-standing goals of neoconservative intellectuals has been to see the Middle East broken up into smaller ethnic or sectarian mini-states, which would include not only large stateless nationalities like the Kurds, but Maronite Christians, Druze, Arab Shi'ites, and others. Such a policy comes not out of respect for the right of self-determination indeed, the neocons have been steadfast opponents of the Palestinians' desire for statehood, even alongside a secure Israel but out of an imperial quest for divide-and-rule. The division of the Middle East has long been seen as a means of countering the threat of pan-Arab nationalism and, more recently, pan-Islamist movements."
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said yesterday that The Iraq war is good for Israel. He praised God for President Bush and suggested that the current situation in Iraq is "so much better for the security and safety of Israel".

Of course it is, because the Zionist agenda has always been to divide and conquer the middle East. After many previous attempts, it's mission accomplished in Iraq now thanks to the neocons, that is why we have already seen a shift towards fomenting trouble in Syria with the decimation of Lebanon.
Furthermore, the timely assassination of Pierre Gemayel in Lebanon, which has been blamed on Syria, but some have attributed to Israeli intelligence, has again sullied Syria and stoked up ethnic and religious animosity in Lebanon.
Israeli policy documents have always stated that it would be beneficial to the overall strategy to engender strife in the middle east.
In 1982, Oded Yinon, an official from the Israeli Foreign Affairs office, wrote: "To dissolve Iraq is even more important for us than dissolving Syria. In the short term, it's Iraqi power that constitutes the greatest threat to Israel. The Iran-Iraq war tore Iraq apart and provoked its downfall. All manner of inter-Arab conflict help us and accelerate our goal of breaking up Iraq into small, diverse pieces."
Ethnic cleansing, maimed children and thousands of dead American soldiers are a small price to pay because for the Globalists the end always justifies the means and untold misery and bloodshed won't stand in their way.
The adoption of the 'Salvador Option' by the US in Iraq, as reported and discussed from the beginning of 2005 onwards, also indicates that a shift in focus in the middle east is underway.
Newsweek reported that this Pentagon or CIA handled operation "would even extend across the border into Syria, according to military insiders familiar with the discussions... The current thinking is that while U.S. Special Forces would lead operations in, say, Syria, activities inside Iraq itself would be carried out by Iraqi paramilitaries."
That agenda was again underscored recently when Daniel Pipes, a highly influential Straussian Neo-Con media darling, told the New York Sun that a civil war would aid the US and Israel because it would entangle Iran and Syria and enable those countries to be picked off by the new world empire without the need to sell a direct invasion to the public.
A host of analysts and political experts agree that 2007 will see the bombing of nuclear facilities in Iran, with or without the approval of the US Congress. This is not surprising given that we have recently seen a spate of neoconservative and Israeli calls for the bombing to begin.

In a Sunday op-ed piece in the Los Angeles Times, Joshua Muarvchik, resident scholar at the neoconservative American Enterprise Institute, wrote:
"We must bomb Iran," he said. "The path of diplomacy and sanctions has led nowhere ... Our options therefore are narrowed to two: we can prepare to live with a nuclear-armed Iran, or we can use force to prevent it."
Furthermore, a recent FOX news discussion on Iraq bizarrely turned to Iran as a Wall Street analyst sated:
"The market wants us to end the insurgency and the war. You do that by bombing Tehran, not by getting it so some Iraqi woman doesn't have to wear a burqa anymore."
Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh also "did not rule out' preventive military action to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, in a recent interview with the English-language Jerusalem Post.
There is some speculation that the paradigm shift in the US with the "Baker Boys" re-emerging as leading players, indicates a power struggle between a Zionist/neoconservative faction and a CFR controlled globalist faction. In any case, the overall agenda of "divide and conquer" in the middle east remains the same. The Arab population will suffer the same fate whatever the outcome of this sideshow in-fighting.
The scale back in Iraq will not in any way shape or form involve a "withdrawal" of troops from the region. Most probably any troops leaving Iraq will simply be shifted to Afghanistan, which also descends deeper into chaos with every day.
The Marine Corps will need to increase in size to sustain deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and beyond. The empire is very much on the march.

These few narrow-minded, full-of-hatred Kurds have been heard on National Public Radio, here in the USA, from as early as 2003 making negative and hateful remarks about Arabs and Islam and even stating that they (the Kurds) were originally Christians until the Arabs came and deformed/corrupted them with Islam! This is how little these Kurds know about their history. They (in general) didn't know even from where they originated until Harvard University (sponsor of the bloody Kanaan Makiyya) wrote their history for them and made it as ancient as that of Sumerians and Babylonians the way they did with the history of Iraq's Athoriyyeen and Lebanon's Maronites. So having a church by the missionaries of the USA-UK in Kurdistan is not surprising. This is how the USA-UK-Israel collaborative will deteriot their life and heritage and slain them like sheeps especially soon after they become weak and an easy target by forming their "independent country of Kurdistan". Many of these converts (to western Christianity) will come in handy for the deterioration and destruction process!

The status quo of the Islamic Republics that gained independence from the former Soviet Union offers volumes of information on why the near-future Kurdish independent state will deteriorate and harshly suffer. All of these republics became so-called independent because of the USA and all have become slaves of and prostitutes for the USA with high poverty, unemployment and corruption rates. So good luck to the Kurds for their churches and near-future independence! The minute the Kurds gain their independence, they will have to deal with the following fatal enemies; the USA, the UK, Israel, Turkey, Iran and Arab neighboring countries (especially IRAQ and Syria).

I know thanking a car bomb could astonish you; yet today I really need to thank that driver who managed to sneak a car bomb into the Green Zone.. Until yesterday, those who are living in that fortified place were insisting to not feel what a car bomb means! They were in a place while the whole Iraqis were and still in another place.. Thanks to that car bomb that made so-called Iraqi government and Parliament, realize what life looks like with a car comb might explode any time. The different between them and the Iraqis is they stayed for 6 hours inside the offices while the Iraqis are going to their jobs and schools. To stay panic for 6 hours.. Again they proved how coward they are.. Now and after that car bomb finished the myth of the safe heaven, the Green Zone, I advice those who came on the board of the American tanks to destroy Iraq should live us. They should feel satisfy. They planted the sectarian and ethnic clashes among the Iraqis. They killed enough academics, journalists, teachers and 655 000 Iraqis. They stole billions of dollars. They destroyed the Iraqi memory through stealing the libraries and the giant Iraqi National museum. They worked for Bush in a way that Bush him self had never imagined. DRUNK Americans New MASSACRE In Heet

An American occupation patrol forced in a house in Heet, about 210km west of Baghdad and killed seven members of the family in side the house yesterday. Early morning today Nov 8), another American patrol came to the same house apologizing from the mother because the soldiers of the yesterday patrol were drunk!! As simple as this.. one of the wounded in the hospital said that the Americans were angry and they killed the seven men by shooting stabbing and they went leaving the wounded bleeding.. today, the town which is seized by the Americans for the last two months; there is only one entrance to the town caught by the Americans too. For the last two months, the Americans searched the town many times; they know who is coming or leaving.. it was bombed heavily months ago then the Americans alleged that the Arab fighters (terrorists) left Ramadi to Heet..
Heet, one of the oldest Iraqi inhabitant towns; from there the Sumerians brought the tar to use it as a conjugation while building the ziqurates, palaces and houses. It was before the occupation one of the most beautiful and peaceful towns on the Euphrates where the huge water wheels were watering the fields.. The Baghdadis used to spend their weekends there; when living was possible in Iraq..

Only two days before the verdict of Saddam Hussein’s first trial, an international survey of public opinion published by Guardian showed Bush as the most dangerous man in the world; while inside USA he was losing support even from members of his own party. Yet the day after the trail, public opinion polls showed 53% from the voters pro Bush!! The Bush pro American media worked on” the sending Saddam to death” as if Bush saved Iraq and USA!!
Week before the midterm elections Saddam who has being updating by his defence team about the world out side the jail; feels the fact about Bush losing reputation very well, he asked the tribunal through his lead defence lawyer Khalil Al-Dulaimi to postpone the last session of his first trial, Al-Dujail case, after the half-term elections.. Al-Dulaimi sent a message in the same meaning to the American Democratic party; yet he received not response. The session was due on 16th October and was postponed to 5th November, reports assured, as it was required by Bush’s public relations consultants in the hope that the capital sentence on the Iraqi President and his top assistances will help the Republicans gaining more votes. It is clear now that Saddam trial was nothing but a political “game” between Bush’s hand played whenever he needs the Americans to sympathized with him; just like his game “the war against terrorism”..
Saddam committed crimes against humanity; yet how does the Rome Tribunal describe the situation in Iraq if it is not a crime against humanity generated a sectarian cleansing what it would be? Bush him self admitted invading Iraq according to false documents; he did not find WMDS or link with Al-Qaeda; his illegal war killed till now 625 000 civilian Iraqis; if this is not genocide and crime against humanity, what would it be? Saddam and Bush are on the same boat.
Whatever the half-term elections result would be; the situation in Iraq won’t change. An American anti-war friend mailed me asking to give her a proposal about Iraq but not withdrawing the US troops or apologizing from the Iraqis! She wrote saying, “although the democrats are criticizing Bush’s fatal faults in Iraq yet they will neither pull out the troops nor apologize; please give me another proposal; demanding pulling out our troops will make them looking at me as a traitor”!! if an anti-war activist is thinking in this way; the Iraqis should find a way to restore their lives. Americans are going to stay in Iraq; not only to give Americans a safer world; but to secure the need to the oil and to protect Israel, as Bush said in his latest campaigning speech. Inside Iraq, the capital sentence against Saddam showed the contradictory among the Iraqis; those in Tikrit- the birth place of Saddam, Al-Dour-w here he was arrested, Mosul, Baqouba, Haweeja-west Kirkuk and Anbar flooded the streets angrily raising Saddam’s photos while those in central and southern Iraq and the Kurds flooded the streets happily burning Saddam’s photos. In Baghdad, the Shiites area, Sadr City, Shua’la and others celebrated hanging Saddam till death; while Sunnis areas Adhamiya and others were angry. Making Bush satisfied; the Iraqis are being pushing toward a real civil war.. in the name of democracy, Iraqis are between mass graves and unknown graves seeing no light at the end of the tunnel they dragged in by Bush.

During last August and September, 6 Profs of medicine were killed in Baghdad: Dr Uday Al-Beiruty, Prof, PhD, facukty of medicine - Nahryn Uni-baghdad, he was kidnapped Sep 20 from the park of the university, his tortured dead body was found in Sadr City, Dr Ashkur Arslan, Prof, PhD, faculty of medicine- Bgahdad Uni, was killed by the death squads in Baghdad; Dr Adil Al=Mansouri, Prof, PhD, faculty of medicine- Bgahdad Uni, his tortured dead body was found in Sadr City; Dr Ahmed Abdul Qadil Al-Rifaee, PhD[center of the women health, specialist in breast cancer, his tortured dead body was found in Sadr City; Dr Tawfeeq Al-Khishaky , found killed some where west Baghdad after he was kidnapped from his clinic.
Any body could help? Any body could feel our tears in our hearts? Any body would tell bloody Bush he is mean terrorist? Any body could stop the death squads? Any body? Or there is no body…

A Death of A Great Iraqi

Yesterday morning we lost a great man: Dr Issam Al-Rawi, a geology scientist and in the same time a moderate Sunni who used to make the gap between the Sunnis and Shiites leading personalities smaller.
Just a while before being attacked, Al-Rawi was on TV interview urging the Iraqis to comply with Mecca Code leaving aside the sectarian violence. He was attacked in Al-Dawoodi neighborhood, west Baghdad, where his house is, shortly after leaving his home toward the Baghdad University. Two other profs were with him; the both were wounded. The attack took place yesterday morning (Oct 30). The killers blocked his way then began shooting him. (According to the eyewitnesses Al-Rawi who used to go every where without bodyguards; a white four wheel drive vehicle - Land Cruse 2004- almost used by the high-ranking officials in the ministry of the interior affairs and this vehicle is the “trade mark” of the Shiite death squads backed by the some high-ranking officers and officials inside the ministry; there were four persons in the car, the driver, one was protecting the other two who shot Al-Rawi and the car escaped in front of a National Guards check point toward Al-Mansour area. Many previous reports confirmed that the former minister of the interior, the minister of finance now, Bayan Jabr and the former Prime Minister Al-Jaafari, gave tens of such vehicles to the death squads.)

According to his friends and family, the Death Squads were after his assassination. But I think the following:
• The occupation forces and the “Iraqi” police special forces raided his office ( the League of the Iraqi Universities Profs) which was established by him to defend the profs rights and lives, on Oct 19 (the Iraqi police special forces are almost Shiites; many reports confirmed its links with death squads). He issued a communiqué on Oct 28 condemning the raid through which the doors were broken, the literary was messed; the office of Al-Rawi- the president of the league and his deputy office were searched. He finished the communiqué saying, “we are putting I front of the nobles in the world and the patriot Iraqis some of the acts of the alleged democracy and liberation.”
• He taught in Erbil University from the late eighties till April 2003; there he began relation with the Islamic Kurdish parties; he kept the relation till his martyrdom. (the two leading Kurdish parties PUK of Talbani and PDK of Barzani) have no good relation with the Islamist Kurds who are opposing the relation with US and Israel.
• Many parties in Iraq; especially Al-Qaeda and Mahdy army are trying to shut down the education system in Iraq, while Al-Rwai was insisting to go to the school of science- geology departments where he was a prof. (by the way the first PhD was given in geology in Baghdad University was given to Al-Rawi in the late seventies).
Those criminals who killed Al-Rawi, hit many birds by one stone:
They killed the most moderate voice in the Association of the Moslem Scholars; they killed a leading Sunni personality who used to visit and talk with the Shiite clerics and they killed the prof who led the league that used to defend them; i.e.; the whole profs are an open target.
by the killing of Al-Rawi, the toll of Iraqi profs and academics who were killed under the ocupation became 300!!
the painful thing is the WORLD is still wtching the Hell in Iraq without thinking even in saying a word of sorry to the Iraqis. What does the world waite for?

The prestigious British medical journal, The Lancet, published a study achieved by researchers from John Hopkins (American) and Al-Mustansiriya (Iraqi) universities, stated that more than 650,000 people have been killed in Iraq since March 20 2003, the date on which Bush began invading Iraq till now. The figures means that the U.S.-led war on Iraq, a country of about 27 million, which means that 2.5 per cent of the Iraqi 27 million population has died because of the invasion.President Bush denied the study saying in White House press conference, "I don’t consider it a credible report. Neither does General George Casey and neither do Iraqi officials"! According to Bush, the Iraqi civilian causalities are not more than 50 000, again according to him, they are collateral lost!! In his turn, Iraqi government spokesman Ali Al Dabbagh disagreed with the study saying in a press conference in the Green Zone; “The report is unbelievable. These numbers are exaggerated and not precise.”
Yet many Iraqis say that the figure might be bigger; they say that the sectarian violence flooded the country after explosion of the Samara golden dome last February. Since then, no less than 40 dead bodies are being found in Baghdad; black banners mourning those who are being tortured and killed are every where in Baghdad especially and other Iraqi cities in general. More than 50 000 un- identified dead bodies were buried in Najaf and other 46 000 un- identified dead bodies were buried in Kerbala, the two figures were announced by the official sources of the Iraqi ministry of health. Again according to a source from Baghdad morgue, the morgue was receiving 10-20 bodies every day, victims of the violence actions in Baghdad; yet after Samara the figure began growing day after other. The UN human rights committee said in its latest reports that 100 killed bodies received by the morgue every day in the last three months!! It seems that Bush does not hear or see; he does only speak.. He believes and tries to force the others to believe him.. Tens of the Iraqis are being killing every day; among them always are those who are being killed by the American friendly fires; still the World is watching silently waiting the end of the bloody American democracy action movie in Iraq! Because of the sectarian violence, 230 Sunni families were forced by Shiite militia to leave their homes in Al-Hurriya and Al-Shaab neighborhoods, west Baghdad last week; in the same time hundreds of Shiite families were forced to leave their homes from Al-Ghazaliya, Amiriya and other areas in Baghdad. According to the sources of the Iraqi ministry of education more than 10 000 students are being absence in Baghdad schools because of their families were forced to leave the area where their schools were; they could not go back to the school to have transfer documents; otherwise they will be killed!! Bush made Iraq drowned by the bloods of the Iraqis; yet he is insisting to mislead the American and world public opinion and he is managing it!! How much Iraqis will be killed more to satisfy Bush revenge feeling? "I will do it for my daddy", Bush announced in January 2003 speaking about his war against Iraq; "this man (Saddam) tried to kill my daddy", he said.. How long takes the sectarian violence in Iraq? Again, the sectarian and ethnic disputed among the Iraqis were planned by Bush and Paul Bremer the third, his viceroy in Iraq, while establishing the Governing Council on the sectarian and ethnic bases.

Here I am not trying to be racist but Rice pushes me to think in this way; since she began her career as a top US official she behaves in a way shows being complicated being black and not pretty.. She came to say more lies and to commit more faults.. She admitted months ago that her Administration committed “THOUSANDS FAULTS IN IRAQ” yet neither she nor her master are ready to apologize from the Iraqis.

Iraqis hate you; hate your insane master. We think the wealth you did through our bloods is enough; are you after more oil tankers and ships? 9-11, Iraq Is Paying the PRICE

President Bush is still misleading the World and American public opinion emotionally through using the pretext (war against terrorism). In his speech broadcast on Monday , the fifth anniversary of 9/11, he played his emotion game to defend the war in Iraq, although many democratic politicians criticized him for politicizing a national day of mourning. He described a “brutal enemy still determined to kill Americans, perhaps with weapons of mass destruction if they get the chance”.
Reviewing the situation after 9/11, the day that changed the world, we will find that Iraq had paid and still the highest price. The whole country and state was destroyed becoming the “first front on the war of terrorism” as Nouri Al-Maliky, the Iraqi Prime Minister confirmed while visiting US weeks ago.
The Baghdad morgue announced receiving 1458 shout dead bodies last August, (the number indicates the civilians victims in Baghdad only).. Al-Sabah, the government supported IMN daily, quoted the general inspector of the ministry of health on August 13 saying that the victims of the violence in Baghdad reduced 50% in August!! Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell wrote in the same meaning saying, “However, the violence Baghdad endured in July receded during the month of August. Attacks in Baghdad were well below the monthly average for July. Since August 7, the murder rate in Baghdad dropped 52 percent from the daily rate for July.”
The two statements could give a clear view on the civilian victims of violence in Baghdad only since no official and non-official institutes in Iraq and US are ready to give the accurate number of the civilian casualties in Iraq. So, 1458 shot dead bodies in August were the 50% of the causalities in July!!
Although the intelligence committee of the Congress issued their latest report last week confirming that there was no relation between Saddam Hussein regime and Al-Qaeda, Bush is still speaking about “enemies” in Iraq “will attack the Americans”!! Iraq, the Bush pretext toward defending his alleged war against terrorism, instead of becoming a symbol of democracy became a symbol of a destroyed and weak state could be divided any time if the Bush backed Kurds continue their plans in having Kirkuk, the oil rich city, as the capital city for their “region”, the step that incites the Shiites to establish their region in the central and southern Iraq. The national Accord Front, Sunnis, that gave the Kurds their word in supporting establishing their northern region are refusing the establishment of the Shiite region and threatened to stop supporting Kurds if they will support the Shiite project. The other Sunnis in the Iraqi Parliament, and Iriqiya bloc, led by Ayad Allawi, and Shiite parties with in the United Iraqi Alliance, led by Abdul aziz Al-Hakim, are refusing the Shiite project.
The Sunnis who participated in the political process on the condition of re writing the Constitution are insisting on their condition otherwise they will withdrew from the political scene. The Iraqi constitution does not allow establishing regions on ethnic and sectarian basis, yet the Kurds are insisting on their demands and going ahead in their plans especially after their Parliament finished writing their constitution insisting on having Kirkuk.. Iraq is going from worse to worse; the Parliament involved in discussing the Shiite project and the Barzani’s decree of not raising the Iraqi flag in “Kurdistan”. So, Iraq is paying the price with out having any relation with the “terrorists” who targeted US.. Till when Bush will mislead the world? No body could answer..

In his latest speech regarding his war on “terrorism”, President George Bush repeated what he was telling in his previous speeches, attacking Islam and Moslems all over the world and swearing to win the war in Iraq otherwise the war would be in the American streets. He considers winning the war in Iraq as the most important step in his global war against terrorism; no matter the disaster brought in to Iraq that kills more than 1500 civilian Iraqis every month in the last six months while no body knows the real number of the civilian causalities in Iraq from April 9 2003 till now.
Although Bush failed in finding a direct or indirect relation between Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaida; yet he is still trying to play emotionally on the American public opinion which is misled by the mainstream media news about what could terrorism would commit against the Americans. Let Iraqis die every day to give the American a safety world.
In Iraq, the situation is going from worse to worse while the visiting Iraqi vice president to America Adil abdul Mahdy and his American hosts assured that there is no civil or sectarian war in Iraq! In one week 120 Shiite families were forced to leave their houses in Al-Quds neighborhood, north Baghdad, and almost the same numbers of Sunni families were forced to leave their houses from different areas in Baghdad. Those who left their houses, Sunnis and Shiites, are saying that they received a hand written message ordering them to leave the area with a bullet as a singe while refusing they will be killed; Killings between Sunnis and Shiites are now more numerous and more lethal than attacks on occupation forces. The Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliky who is trying his best through his reconciliation intuitive to stop the daily blood bath; yet many serious problems are being facing him without finding a solution. The general services reached the almost the zero level while the insecurity is seizing the Iraqis inside the houses before the sundown. Many Baghdadi areas are under joint Iraqi and American military siege for the last week; the Parliament postponed its first session after the summer holiday because the majority of its members are not back from the vacation out side Iraq!! Midst these problems Masoud Barzani, the President of Iraqi Kurdistan region, issued a decree to take down the Iraqi flag in the whole region creating another serious problem for the central government. While maliky demanded rising the Iraqi flag all over Iraq, Barzani said that the Kurds chose staying with in Iraq by their own decision yet the Iraqi flag that he labeled as Saddam flag won’t raise in the northern Iraq again and instead the region will raise the July 14th 1958 flag!! Many Arab politicians became angry but no Kurdish response!! The Iraqi Kurdish President Jalal Talbani supposedly ruling Iraq under the so labeled Sadadm flag, Hoshiar Zibari, the Iraqi Kurdish minister of foreign affairs, is representing Iraq under the same flag. It seems that Barzani who is doing his best toward having the oil rich Kirkuk; began his strength shows from now till the supposed referendum regarding Kirkuk by the half term of the coming year. It is obvious that he will not hear any body except him self while exchanging roles with Talbani who declared the Iraqi flag that will be chosen by the Parliament will be raised all over the country!! Talbani in his turn responded angrily to Ayad Allawi, the former transitional prime minister who announced from Amman that the Higher National Council for Security is doing no thing.. Talbani said that the council is working but Allawi is not in Iraq. Barzani refusing the Iraqi flag ‘because under this flag the Kurds were gassed and killed” and he is pretending to forget that under the same flag Saddam forces rescued him and his forces from Talbani forces that were occupying Erbil in August 1996.
While Iraq has fallen apart; blood and tears are every where; Kurds are playing for their own internists; Abdul Aziz Al-hakim is continuing educating the Iraqi Shiites toward establishing their federal region in the southern Iraq; Turkmen members in Kirkuk city council boycotted the council protesting the new normalization committee established with out discussing with Turkmen parties; far from these disputes, the Iraqis are paying very high prices for the Bush false dream to create a democratic, pro-American (and pro-Israeli) federal state; but the fact is Bush and his team and Iraqi collaborators destroyed Iraq, the country used to play a great role in the region pushing it toward violent instability which threatens to infect the whole region.
Back to Bush speech on terrorism; while there is no a certain definition of terrorism and according to UN, US Patriot Act and Iraqi Act on terrorism, the terrorism is killing civilians, no body is killing the civilians in Iraq and else where except Bush through his faults.

A Shiite cleric from Basra, southern Iraq, whom I met by chance some where out side Iraq told me the following:
The black wearing death squads and the "unknowns" killers and kidnappers who are wearing the special police uniform, driving the police cars (four wheel drive white vehicles called Monica) and using police weapons are members of the Mahdy Army! He said that the former PM Ibrahim Jaafari provided the uniforms, vehicles and the weapons for them to do what they began after Samara Golden Tomb was attacked!! He confirmed that the former minister of interior affairs who is now the minister of finance knew very well this fact but used to deny..
I think I could add nothing… Indeed the Iraqis know the truth but who dares to speak or even to whisper…

Zarqawi; khadhrawi

While going to his university; my son saw a brutal assassination close to Qahtan Sq south Baghdad.. Three men were in a car; another three came close to them; the driver felt that he is going to be killed; he opened the door trying to escape but the machine gun began firing him.. My son left his car; the others did the same while the policemen in the close check point did nothing until the unknown killers left the scene!!
My son was going to submit his graduation project and have a presentation.. He went to the class had nothing to say. The man with smashed head and blood every where insisted to not leave his mind.. Why did they kill him? Who were they?
It is his first time to be too close to such "operation"..
"For seconds I felt the bullets were in my car" he told me adding. "I left the car trying to find a shelter.. Really I was afraid".

Killing the Sunnis!!

Fearing the "men in black" I asked a Shiite taxi driver whom I know to drive me whenever I need going some where. He waits me exactly in the park inside our residential complex. Reaching the park; he calls me then I dare to leave the house.. Yet I will stay fearing because of the so called police check points.. One of the policemen will ask the driver if he is Sunni or Shiite!! Around the steering wheel; my driver puts a piece of green cloth that he brought from Imam Ali Shrine to bless his car; this green is a singe that the owner of the car is Shiite; a singe that satisfies me..
Yesterday a while before the mid night I woke up when the mosque opposite to my house suddenly began calling "Allah Akber".. It was not the time of prayer!! From the window I saw more than 20 wearing black were trying to attack the mosque; with the second call; heavy fires were exchanged between the near check point of the National Guard and the black wearers who at last withdrew..
Today after my driver gave a miss-call informing he is in the car park; the phone began ringing again.. I did not answer thinking he was the driver; the phone rang again and again; deciding to answer I discovered it was my son..
He was trying to tell me something but not finding the word.. Then he said, "mom please hear me well and try to help me.. I lost my mobile and the money"..
Then he explained the story:
He was on his way to Ghazaliya to see a friend whose father was attacked; he escaped the attempt but after the "unknown gunmen who were wearing police uniform!! wounded him seriously". Close to the Central Children Hospital, a joint police-national guard check point stopped him.. (Such check points used to stop him several times a day because his car number plate reads Salah Al-Deen; cars having the plates Salah Al-Deen- the birthplace of Saddam, Mosul, Diyala and Anbar; the Sunni governorates stopped by the check points and you can imagine what would be happen to a driver being alone) and my son was alone.
A policeman asked him if he is Sunni or Shiite.. From his spoken accent my son discovered that he was from the south so he was Shiite; my son answer was (I am a Shitte).. The next question "why is your car carrying this number?" my son told him that he bought the car from Baghdad and he is from Kararda (mostly Shiite area in Baghdad). They asked him to leave the car; a national guard pretended searching the car and in front of my son eyes he put a grenade in side the car; the policeman came and found the grenade.
What is this? He asked my son who answered: tell me exactly what do you want?
Another policeman who was searching the car told him: look I found this book in your car with the name Omer (a Sunni name).. Who is Omer? A student in my class, my son answered.
"F,, Omer and every Sunni; be a good Shiite and curse Omer and the Sunnis" the policeman adviced him.. Then the first policeman told him, "I will forget the grenade if you will give me your money and the mobile"/
My son had with him $200, he was going to pay the internet server and the wages of his private teacher.. The policeman took the $200 and his $430 worthy N70 Nokia mobile that he bought days ago..
What could we do?
Nothing but thanking AlMighty Allah that they let him go..
The extreme Shiite minister of interior Bayan Jabr Soulagh who used to deny the sectarian crimes are being committing while the Iraqis know that he him self was and still commanding the sectarian attacks achieving the Iranian agenda in Iraq.

Till now more that 244 Omers were assassinated in Baghdad. They were kidnapped or arrested by the police; then their tortured and shot dead bodies were found.
The Iraqis are accusing the Iranians or those Iraqis who were trained in Iran and our proof is the Iranians used to torture the prisoners of war in the same way and most of them were killed in the front of the war in the same "technique" of killing..
Soulagh and trying to defend his Shiite death squads; told in a press conference that almost 150 000 criminals wear the police uniform and drive cars look like police cars!! Months ago he said that the government will ask non Iraqis to provide the police uniform yet he did nothing allowing about 15 cloth stores to sell such uniform to every body.. It is an official plan to protect the criminals.
Who could protect our sons, lives and homes?
No body, the answer I will hear.
Americans are allowing such crimes to hide their lies and fail in Iraq.

"Sorry for not writing… every thing is too complicated and painful that sometimes paralyzes us.. WHAT TO SAY? ARE YOU WATCHING THE NEWS OR NOT? WE NEED YOUR VOICE AGAINST BUSH AND BLAIR the TYRANTS OF THE WORLD.."

Unexpected comers stormed in Baghdad last Sunday; heavy rainstorm almost paralyzed the life, the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Jack Straw, the British foreign minister.
The rainstorm that emptied the streets helped them to reach the Green Zone by an armored military vehicle without any disturbed.
Rice came to Iraq after her admitting that they "the Americans" made thousands of tactical faults in Iraq!! Yet she assured that their "strategy" in Iraq was and still right! If the strategists were the National Security Agency or whoever, the appliers were Bush, his administration and the US military forces in Iraq… So Bush committed the faults but the strategic decision of invading Iraq was right!! Admitting the faults that generated till now more than 200 000 Iraqi civilians victims, 2300 Americans were killed and the whole life and system in Iraq was destroyed. Without taking any real step toward saving Iraq and Iraqis; the only thing the world should realize that Bush has nothing in Iraq but to destroy the country.
Rice and straw gave this "storm" visit to Iraq to force forming the government ending the power vacuum that generates more violence actions.
Rice seemed unhappy and unrest while meeting Ibrahim Ja'afari, the United Iraqi Alliance candidate while she was smiling while taking her lunch with Dr Adil Abdul Mahdi whom she might prefer to be the coming Iraqi prime minister.. She declared sending "a very direct message" through her statement" The Iraqi people are losing patience and that's showing up in polling, it's showing up, I'm told, in cartoons, it's showing up in the news coverage here."
She was trying to create a spilt in INA through this message.. Did she manage this?
Kurds began attacking Ja'afari asking him to withdraw after his state visit to Turkey last February; then the national Accord Front joined the Kurds. Kurds dislike Ja'fari because he did not accept giving Kirkuk to them and they explain his visit to Turkey as if he was insisting to not giving the oil rich city to them; while the Sunnis are refusing him because of being sectarian worsening the security more and more…during Rice and Straw visit and a while after their departure many members of the Iraqi National Alliance list asked Ja'fari withdraw; yet Moqtada Sadr, whose followers, are the strongest element on the list declared his support to Ja'fari.
Rice said that Iraq needs a "strong" prime minister to "unify" Iraq… till now Ja'fari is refusing drop out because "the nation elected me; I withdraw only when the nation asks me"!!
Rice began the scheme against Ja'fari; how it would finish?
The Iraqi politicians speak about solutions: Ja'fari will realize being unaccepted; Grand Ayatolalh Sistani will interfere or the Parliament will decide and choose..
Was rice trying to fix one of her or Bush's faults in Iraq through urging to form the Iraqi government? Or she committed another fault through interfering in the Iraqi internal affairs?

No body could answer yet the blood still storms the streets in Iraq.. those who are living in the fortified Green Zone will never feel this blood..

Appeal For Help:Sectarian Cleansing and Coercive Displacement

Undeclared sectarian war and bloodshed are still underway in Iraq, regardless of non-stop calls to put an end to them, which are warning against being dragged into civil war, which will definitely end up with casualties from all parties involved.
Below are the details of this ongoing war:
On March 2, 2006, an envoy of the Voice of Freedom for Human Rights and the Red Crescent visited Al-Fursan Village, located near An-Nahrawan in Madaen. It comprises of 60 brick and mud houses, inhabited by more than 60 Sunni families. The village is surrounded by a number of predominantly Shiite villages, decorated with black and red flags.
on February 27, 2006, Al-Fursan village was attacked by hordes of men in black, who were driving cars of the ministry of interior and state-backed militias. A large number of the villagers fled their homes. Eight people, including the Imam of the village mosque, whose name is Abu Aisha, and a ten year-old boy called Adnan Midab, were executed. Please find the attached photograph of the room in which Adnan was hiding and was later killed. A number of dead animals (sheep, cows and dogs) were also shot at by the attackers.
The village mosque was sabotaged and burned down like almost all the houses in the village. When the relief workers and VOF envoy were in the village, four men, who were hiding outside the village came back stealthily to recount the details of the attack. They stated that the perpetrators used machinegun, Kalashnikov, explosives and fuel to carry out the attacks. Given the fact that the villagers thought that it was the security forces, they did not take any precautionary measures to protect themselves.
The aforementioned men, who were hiding outside the village showed us where the dead bodies of men, women and a child were buried.
We saw the room, where ten-year old Adnan Midab was shot dead. We also saw the burned down cars of the villagers.
Young men stated that they have been repeatedly harassed in order to force them into leaving their village. After this attack, all the remaining families left to other places in Dyala and Baghdad.
We have taken photographs of a large number of places in the village. There is a number of isolated predominantly Sunni villages (Al-Batta, Al-Mujamma’, etc), whose people were harassed by men of the ministry of interior and militias, backed by foreigners. The latter villages are attacked on a regular basis, but it was impossible for our staff to get into them, due to security restrictions.
The above is but the tip of the iceberg. These practices are organized and carried out on a regular basis within towns, rural villages and suburbs. Civilians are asking for international forces to protect them.
It is worth noting that the authorities are turning a blind eye on the perpetrators and terrorists who have been carrying out these attacks. Failure to protect the civilians will only make things worse.

Initial Statistics
The coercive displacement practiced by the ministry of interior, the state-backed militias and foreigners against the people of Nahrawan is on the increase. The number of the Sunni families who have fled their homes is as follows:
Al-Jboor Village, 50 families.
Jabir Hummadi Village, 60 families,
Shakha Village No. 5, 12 families
Shakha Village No. 7, 30 families
Al-Khalisa Village, 50 families
Al-Fursan Village, 60 families
Jasim Ibrahim Al-Battawi Village, 33 families,
Bani Zed Village, 100 families
Al-Mujamma’ Village, 100 families.

The tragedy is mounting. People are deprived of basic needs. The aid workers are helpless. The UN and humanitarian NGOs must act and do the following:
a) Send a Fact Finding Committee of the UN, the Arab League or International Organizations.
b) Send Peacemaking forces to protect the civilians and put an end to genocides, sectarian cleansing and coercive displacement.
c) Control the east borders of Iraq to stop the acts of terrorism perpetrated by foreigners, who have been pouring to Iraq through the Iranian borders and raid and search the villages harbouring them.
d) Launch a relief program by neutral trusted parties.

After noon March 14, Fayiz Harrat, 27 years, and his sister Fayiza, 35 years, were back together to their home, the both were teachers in the only school in al- Siffa village near Samara. Fayiza and her two kids Usama Yousif, 6 yeas, and Asma, 5 years, live with Fyiz after the Americans killed her husband last summer. Fayiz and his wife Sumaya had three kids Hawra, 4 yaers, Aysha 2 years and Husam 4 months. The granmother lived with them.. on the same day , they had two guests Aziz Khalil, the cousin of Fayiz, and his fiancée Nidhal who were arranging the preparation of their wedding on March 16..
After the midnight, their house was seiged.. Humves, Tanks, helicopters and tens from the Americans soldiers who rushed in the house serching and shooting, after a while the helicopter missiled the house..
The American official communiqué said that they raided a house harbored terrorists and they killed some of them and the collateral damage was 4 civilians..
Yet the truth according to the people of the village, the kids of the school and the relatives is:
The 4 women, 6 children and Fayiz were killed.. 11 civilians.. The photos are very painful, sorry, but you should see the truth; these are the "terrorists".
Send the photos and the names to your congressmen; ask them to be honest and noble.. sak them to see the quite smile of the face of martyr Aysha.. She was killed while sleeping; she was dreaming a colored dream without bombs, ashes, deads and Americans..
I am not asking your tears; I am asking your efforts..
Say NO to Bush the terrorist.. ask your congressmen and your conscious to define the word "TERRORISM".. is targeting and killing the children terrorism? the answer depends on your humanity..

Halabja the Political Victory!

While the elected Parliament was on its first session in Baghdad on March 16; the day on which Halabja, about 265 km north east of Baghdad, was gassed in 1988, the Halabja people were protesting in the streets of the small town demanding Talbani and the Kurdish regional government to fulfill their promises in developing the town through which the Kurdish issue became international getting the world sympathy.
Two were killed, ten wounded when the police tried to stop the angry Halabja people who burnt the commentary museum and the Halabja martyr monument..
The whole Iraqi people are angry and under great pressure; yet the anger in Halabja rings a different bell within the Iraqi scene.
The two Kurds leaders who are insisting on having Kirkuk and doing their best toward kurdisizing the city used to show them selves as "very loyal to their people".. Part of this loyalty is rebuilding the Iraqi northern region although all the other parts of the country is being destroying day after another..
Iraqis, before the anger of Halabja, used to think that the Kurds are living in another world; a world of prosperity and safe.. Now they are discovering that they are on the same boat; fighting for their rights no matter if they are Arabs, Kurds or Turkmens!
Halabja became an industry directed by international media and relations companies exactly like the issue of Kuwaiti incubators which was the main pretext used by Bush senior to lunch the war forcing Saddam out of Kuwait in 1991; Halabja became exactly a "tool" in the hands of Bush and others used whenever they need to use it! .
In July 1989, April Glaspie, the American ambassador then in Iraq, and Tariq Aziz, the Iraqi foreign minister then too, gave a joint press conference in Baghdad. Glaspie red a document singed by an American team worked in Halabja for six months finding that the chemical weapon (gas) used against Halabja was not only Iraqi.. She explained saying the examined tissues showed a gas with (Soviet) Russian quality while the Iraqi was with (West) German quality… Bush needs to have solid proofs that the gas used against Halabja was only Iraqi.
The story was not forgotten but put aside and used whenever American felt it was important to use it and became one of the strongest reasons to invade Iraq.
No body could deny the catastrophe of Halabja while the photos of the victims are in the internet and in the museum.. Still it seems that Talbani being involved in Iraq issue more than Halabja!! fighting for Kirkuk and the people of Halabja felt how much their victims were used for a political victory and no more..

The New Iraq: Abstract; Absurd!

Dr Riyadh Abdul Kareem, a general director in the ministry of agriculture, wounded escaping a life attempt against him; Dr Harith Al-Hayali, disease scientist is still being kidnapped although his family gave the kidnappers $50 000, Dr Saad Mhawosh, the dean of the school of engineering – Mustansiruya Uni, was found killed after his family paid his kidnappers $120 000 trying to save his life; 5 students from Mosul Uni were killed and 10 were kidnapped; more than executed bodies were found in different parts of Baghdad; Muhsin Khudair, the editor of Alef Baa weekly was assassinated; the secretary general of the Iraqi journalists union was threatened to be killed forced to leave Iraq; Americans killed 12 members of one family4 women and children were among them - in Dhuloeya, west of Baghdad, alleging they were attacking a house harboring terrorists ; tens of IEDs were exploded killing Iraqi policemen and INGs, more than 10 car bombs detonated in different parts of Iraq killing and wounding tens of the civilians, the operation Swarmer began in the area around Samara against the “terrorists” all these happened in the second week of March while the Americans were preparing them selves to celebrate the third anniversary of the "new Iraq"..
The week was a typical week Iraqis began dealing with since April 2003. The ordinary week called “bloody” and the extraordinary one called “bloodiest”. Blood became the character of the Iraqis life and day..
Insecurity, kidnapping, killing, violence, poverty, lack of the general services and the fear of a possible civil war are the obvious features of the Iraq after “liberation”. Yet there are some bright features too, mobile phones, sat channels receivers, freedom of speech and media!!and the right of messing up every thing!!
The Mahromeen (very poor-deprived) neighborhood is an example of the new Iraq:
Poor families came by the first month of the occupation and put hands on the land owned by the dissolved Iraqi military forces in Baghdad.. They began building their own houses with out any master plan. They had no official documents so they stole the electricity power sabotaging the main board of the area, the same thing they did with the drinking water; they dug here and there reaching the main pipeline and destroying the street.. Because of the power is one hour on and six off, they brought generators and the wires and cables from the generators to the small houses gave an abstract touch to the scene; and the last touch was the sat receivers dishes every where converting the area into an absurd play!! Exactly the new Iraq..

Mission Accomplished in Iraq!

Bush could state now that his mission in Iraq had accomplished... He tried his best toward dividing Iraq and the Iraqis supported by those who were back on the board of his tanks… For the first time I am afraid of a civil war.
The unashamed silence World should admit that what had happened in Iraq last Wednesday would not be happened if the occupation forces were not in Iraq. A holy shrine was exploded and tens of mosques were attacked and burnt..
The golden tomb of the Imam Ali Al-Hadi was a landmark toward the heart, the belief and Samara.
Samara the town that was built near the old city called once (the city that pleases who sees it) became a city that makes every body sad and cries. Samara had been sieged by the American and Iraqi forces for months; no body could enter the city without permission; how those who planted the explosives in the holy shrine managed to stay in it from 5.45pm Tuesday till 7am of the black Wednesday? Many questions those who began killing and burning the mosques should ask themselves; yet the angry people rushed into the streets.
Who will get benefits of a civil war in Iraq?
Kurds are the first; because Barzani said before months that he will announce his independent state as soon as a civil war will begin… the Americans, again to protect the Iraqis!! And the political “leaders” who are becoming wealthiest day after another from the chose in Iraq…
Bush, as usual without feeling any shame, said on the day when tens of mosques were burning and tens were being killed that Iraqis are enjoying the freedom of media and speech!! Who will help us and will tell him SHUT UP MR. LIER..
The Iraqis and the nobles of the world should curse Bush, Blair and every body who are observing the Iraqi bloods without trying to stop it.
I am shouting WAKE UP WORLD again; WAKE UP IRAQIS.
The tears are insisting to make me stop writing… PRAY FOR US.
Why those who are burning the mosques did not curse the American and the (Iraqi) forces when these bloodies bombed Imam Ali holy shrine? Why no body is cursing those who attacked the shrine of Malik Bin Anas in Basra who was one of the earliest followers of our prophet Mohammed (MPUH)… why no body is trying to find the link between
the cartoons attacking the prophet and exploding the holy shrine?

صور جديدة لسجناء عراقيين يعذبهم جنود امريكان و "آهة" ألم تخترق شاشة التلفاز و تجرح القلب لسجين عراقي يضربونه بحديد الباب بعد ان تم توثيقه بحزام جلدي.. و يخرج الناطق باسم الخارجية الامريكية و يؤكد بأن "الصور حقيقية و تثير الاشمئزاز"! هل علينا ان نشكره لانه شعر "بالاشمئزاز"؟
تخيلوا ان امريكيا يتم تعذيبه هكذا، و تخيلوا كيف سيكون رد البيت الذي اسموه ابيضا جزافا.. لو كنا نحن معذبيه و اكدنا اشمئزازنا قطعا ستطالب الادارة الامريكية باحالة ملفنا الى مجلس الامن لاننا عذبنا و من ثم استهزئنا بهم بالاشمئزاز!

عيد حب سعيد!!
لا احد غير العراقيين يعرفون قدر هذا اليوم و ان كان "الاخرون" يختارون لهم الهدايا التي يقدمونها الى لا احد و ربما الى الجميع..
منذ اول رصاصة حرب بدأ "الاخرون" يختارون قلوب العراقيين هدايا. يمنح العراقي قلبا حقيقيا بينما يهدي غيرهم يهدون قلبا صناعيا و لعبة غبية كتبت عليها جملة "احبك"..
قلب حقيقي من عضلة و دم و شظية..
احسبوا كم قلبا منحه العراقيون الى العدم في 14 شباط منذ ان بدأت الحروب قبل دهور! ثم احسبوا كم قلبا منحه العراقيون في كل ساعة من ايام تلك الدهور؟ و العراقيون كرماء منحوا و يمنحون مع القلوب احلامهم..
شكرا مغموسا بالدمع لبرهان وهو يذكرنا بالعامرية.. هل نسينا العامرية فعلا؟ حين منح عراقيون مدنيون قلوبهم في ذلك الفجر ليحتفل قتلتهم بعيد الحب في اليوم التالي؟
العامرية و صديقتي الدكتورة الهام خليل التي سمعت ضحكتها في رماد متكوم في زاوية من الملجأ و نحن نقيم عزاء كالاحتفال في الذكرى الاولى للجريمة؟ لم انس الى الان تلك الظفيرة الطرية بشريط احمر و التي رفضت ان تحترق واختبأت في شق احدثه الصاروخ و شكل اللحم المحترق صورة ام تحتضن طفلها..
لم انس العامرية و لكن في العراق الان "عامريات" يومية حيث تُصادر القلوب دون سؤال.
ايها العدم الذي يهديه العراقيون قلوبهم و احلامهم متى تكتفي من قلوبنا و تحبنا ؟
ليكن ذلك اليوم قريبا لنؤسس يومنا الخاص بالحب.
احبتي داخل العراق و خارجه:
يحتاج العراق الى قلوب حية تنبض بالحياة ليشعر بحبكم.. و العراق حين يحب سيعود الينا.
لنخترع اسلوب حب خاص بنا، حب يحسن البقاء و الاستمرار و الاصرار و العراق الذي عرفناه يوما ليس بعيدا انه على مرمى قلب منا، ارموا له بالورد و ليس بلعبة غبية مستوردة من الخارج.
و عيد حب حزين طالما يعرف "الاخرون" كيف يصادرون قلوبنا، طالما "انهم" علموا قطرة المطر ان تجرح اليد التي تحاول اتقبالها بينما كانت فيما مضى و قبل ان يأتينا "الاخرون" تتحول في لحظة الى وردة و تروي اليد قبل القلب.
و عيد حب اهديكم فيه دمعة بحجم القلب و خوفا بحجم القلب ايضا و امنية ابحث عنها في ركام الاماني التي جمعتها سنة بعد اخرى منتظرة انتهاء الحروب ربما سأجدها يوما!

“Timer” and the Special Guest of Bush..

The reports and TV footages put the special guest honored o attend the Bush’s State of the Union Speech.. The guest was a German shepherd! The dog, sorry, the SPECILA GUEST was escorted with his sergeant; both were back from their service in Iraq!!
The GUEST made me remember Timer; the explosive- sniffer that was in service close to the Palatine Hotel. I do not know how many times, Timer blocked us inside the hotel because he suspected there were explosives in a car or a camera; we were blocked waiting the American explosive teams to come to deal with Mr. Timer findings!!.. Three cars were exploded then finding nothing in it.. Many times journalists were stopped blind folded with cuffed hands because Timer shacked his “smart” head; again the teams found nothing but after hours of waiting and humiliating..
Timer ruled us 6 months.. His escort used to come with him from his staying place: the ex presidential palace with an ice box filled with pure water and healthy food.. Always there was a hungry Iraqi dog near by but never went and demanded food from him..
When Iraq was sanctioned; there were hundreds of such spoiled dogs with the different UN teams.. In a study published when Oil for Food program became valid, the research wrote that the allocation for every UN dog was $1000 per month while the allocation for every Iraqi was $5 per month; of course the was from the revenue of the program..
I am not against the rights of the animals!! Yet I thing a special guest should be a family of an American killed soldier in Iraq who was killed defending Bush lies..

Allah or God!!

Sorry for not writing in the last month.. I am busy in finishing the drat of a book I was thinking in since September 11. Initially I named the book "Allah or God".
The idea is why Allah is terrorist while God is not.. When Ben Laden , here I should admit that I do not agree with Ben Laden and his style in defending Islam, said Allah ordered him to hit WTI became a terrorist but when Bush said that God inspired him to invade Iraq became a man for peace.. I was 6 years old when my late father taught me that God is the English word for Allah.. I continued using the word God until Bush invaded Iraq.. Day after another Bush and his conservative Christians are proving that they are in war with Islam.. Conservative Christians are in the same boat with Radical Moslems and with the Extremist Jews and the Zionism; yet in his speech of the state of the union Bush said that he will continue his efforts in preventing the radical Moslems from ruling the Arab and Moslem countries but he said nothing about the other extremists!
If a cartoon or a drawing will show Moses in the way our prophet Mohammed (May Peace be Upon Him) was shown; Bush and Europe will ask the Security Council to discuss the question of being anti Semitist!
Arabs and Jews, both the grandchildren of the Iraqi Ebrahim (Abraham); are relatives.. But when the Jew attacked it will be an international issue of anti Semitist, yet every body, except Arabs, is free to attack Arabs and the prophet Mohammed (MPUH)…
In Iraq there are hands behind the curtains made benefits from those bloody cartoons and attacked the churches.. it is a suitable time to incite a war between Moslems and Christians after they seemed tired from planning a civil war between Iraqi Moslems (Sunnis and Shiites).. Iraqis are well aware of these things; when the angry Moslems protested in the streets; many Moslem clerics were visiting a church condemning the attacks; in his turn the Cheldo Cardinal was on the TV condemning the cartoons asking the Iraqi Christians to stay in their homeland Iraq..

It is winter.. Rains and cold.. If I can buy fuels for the heaters; many could not… Fuel is very expensive in Iraq now; as if Iraq is not an oil producing country.. there are coupons for getting the fuel yet one should wait at least for three hours to have his share giving 3.5 Iraqi Dinars (about $2)… sometimes the fuel station would close because the cut of the electricity power or the station share of the fuel finished!! So the Iraqi will be forced to buy the same amount from the black market paying 15 000 Iraqi Dinars (about $8); while the daily income of those families under the poverty line is less than $2!! There are cheap electric heaters: the power in being off for 6 hours and almost 1 hour on!! It is true the Iraqis are buying the power from private generators; because of the raising in the fuel prices; 1 Ampere is being sold for 5000- 7000 Iraqi Dinars; the electric heater needs 3 Ampere to work… imagine the poor families in Iraq; those poor who were among the Bush pretexts in his invasion and occupation Iraq…
I could not write more because there is no "governmental power" and the private power will be off at noon.. The owner of the generation is providing power from 10 till noon; and from 4 till midnight.. We accepted the deal otherwise the generator will be tired and we will lose the private power for days waiting repairing the generator…
Thanks Bush; thanks the Iraqi puppet officials and ministers you made our lives more enjoyable!!

A Very Peaceful New Year Eve

I was thinking in having a peaceful last day of this full of pain year; yet I came through an economic study that disturbed my brain, if I have any!!..
The study sys that the Arab Petrol States, especially the Gulf tiny states, got $500 billion profits this year!! Could you realize the number?
This unimaginable amount of money is enough to eliminate the poverty in the whole Arab World BUT…
United Arab Emirates and the other Gulf States are busy in building luxury housing compounds for the (foreigners) like it is happening in Dubai!! I am saying (foreigners) because the population in these countries are equal to the population of a small town in Egypt.. Luxury compounds, fancy malls, colorful festivals that attended by the (foreigners) too… while 25 poor Sudanese were killed in Cairo yesterday!! Those poor Sudanese were with the hundred others waiting an asylum to no where…The Sudanese people are another game between the American hands that are using them very calmly and just to the point..
Here in Iraq, always I use to say that every yesterday is better than tomorrow. At least yesterday we know what had happened; every tomorrow here brings another agony that we do not know..
The (big) winners are still in meeting in the northern Iraq.. They are putting the last scheme of dividing Iraq… they are sharing the coming so called government as if democracy is a tool of the winners only! While their relatives are enjoying Hajj… every member of the "NEW IRAQ" official has the right of going to Hajj and taking with him/her 20 from the relatives and friends on the government account..
In Baghdad, the electricity power is 10 hours off and 1 hour on (this new system of cutting the power began after the elections); the drinking water is only 2 hours on!! And the liquid gas in the Haifa Street compounds is being cut for 6 hours a day…
What a happiness.. Yet if I would watch the (glass from its full half) I would discover that the government is taking care of us.. The water is being cut to stop us taking bath because it is winter and we might catch cold!! The power is being cut to force us sleep early and have long rest.. the gas is being cut to force us to leave the houses to the restaurants and have fun… the high ranking officials are either in Hajj or out side Iraq having the New Year with their families, again, to give us some rest from the attacks if they insist on staying in Iraq…
Every thing is very becoming very expensive in Iraq except the Iraqis them selves!! The International bank began its dirty work in Iraq; giving loans putting the Iraqis between their rock and the government hard place…

Thousands of students and professors from the University of Mosul in northern Iraq took in the funeral of a student leader found dead along with another student after they were kidnapped by unknown assailants.
The body of Qusay Salaheddin, president of the student union, and Ahmed, his deputy, were identified although they were beheaded Sunday morning. Salaheddin was elected this year by a 3,000 student. .
Prior to his kidnapping the both led two demonstrations protesting the results of the elections and the increasing of the fuel prices..
During his funeral, student chanted slogans accusing Kurdish and Shiite elements of the police force of involvement in his kidnap and murder.
The both shouted against Jafari, the Shiite transitional prime minister and Talbani, the Kurdish president.
The angry students swore that they will not forget and will take the revenge of killing their fellow students.

Donald Rumsfeld was here in Iraq... He stayed for a while in the Green Zone giving his "precious" recommendation to the "Iraqi" puppets who are "ruling" Iraq; to be frankly who are destroying Iraq to make their master Bush happy and satisfied.
Many international dailies published on the front page his photo serving the American occupation soldiers in an American base some where in Iraq. He looked funny wearing the cooking hat.. Yet he made me angry; why did he serve clean and healthy food for the Americans while he is feeding us wars, new kind of bombs and terror?
Rumsfeld asked the two Kurdish "leaders" Barzani and Talbani to do their best in putting an end to the elections war that began when the Kurds themselves violated the rules and committed openly many acts against democracy. HOW and WHY?
Just before a while I heard that the Shiites who won the "elections" through violations too are insisting to create their "Shiite Region" in the south of Iraq; their pretext is Saddam used their oil recourses for building palaces and his birth place Ouja and Tikrit… like the Kurds who are going to use the northern oil fields for their region because Saddam used this recourses for gassing them!! They are insisting to divide Iraq taking Saddam a pretext… They refuse to believe that Saddam harmed the whole Iraq without differentiating among the Iraqis and the cities… Yet Bush, Iran and Israel are supporting Shiites and Kurds who in turn are achieving their agendas in dividing and destroying Iraq.

The New Year will be felt in every where except Iraq; the coming year will bear the same faults and crimes committed by the Americans and their puppets against the Iraqis.
On the New Year Tree; the Iraqis hanged the remains of the car bombs, killed bodies, the names of those who killed by the "friendly fires", the fear of the children, the tears of the mothers, the needs of the poor, the threatens of a civil war and there is no enough room for even a small dream..
Come and pick the gift you want… take a car bomb.. it is a horrible idea; but what about us… we pry before leaving the house because we do not know if we will be back or not because of the car bombs and IEDs and the Americans.
Another year under the occupation.. it seems to be a hard year if the Kurdish militia will replace the 7500 Americans who will withdrew according to Rumsfeld!! Could imagine how those Kurds will act in Baghdad and elsewhere?
I was dreaming that Sunnis and Shiites will put hand in hand and help the Iraqis in restoring Iraq; by the way almost the all "big" lists violated the elections including the two Sunnis "big" that led by Adnan Dulaimi and Salih Mutlak. These "big" politicians are after their interests and do not thinking in Iraq.
Back to my dream; I do not know how I forgot that dreams are impossible in Iraq; I use to say that dying is easier than dreaming in Iraq; an alliance between the Sunnis and Shiites will stop the fear of a civil war; will stop the greedy Kurds; will stop the Iranian interference; will stop the terrorists and will give possible life to the Iraqis…defiantly Bush will refuse because such alliance will finish his project in Iraq.
Today the Iraqis were saying that the prices of the fuel will be increased again by the New Year… they do not know that World Bank began giving debts to Iraq and the prices of every necessary item should be increased to make the Iraqis poorer and more needy to make the Americans richer and stay longer here. World Bank is an UN organization controlled by the Americans who use it as their iron hand here and there.
Every thing is becoming very expensive here except the Iraqis who are being killed every day.

I could not make any wish… Year after another I made wishes; every year I put the new wishes on or under the old wishes… no wish came true; not because I could not work or think but because always America was and still hindering our wishes confiscating our dreams and recourses.

يوما بعد آخر تثبت الاحداث بأن الديمقراطية العراقية الجديدة وليدة رحم عليل ، تارة تحتضر واخرى تحاول استعادة قواها بجرعات من المقويات والمضادات لكنها سرعان ما تنتكس بعد أول تجربة ليدخلوها إلى غرفة الإنعاش لحقنة عبر الوريد دون أن يُجرى لها أية عملية جراحية رُغم مطالبة الأطباء ،وحجة الرافضين أن الوقت لايسمح وان الجدول الذي وضعه سيد البيت الأبيض ومستشاروه يصعب عليهم الأمر .
مسكين هذا الشعب أُخص بهم المثقفين والوطنيون والغيورون على بلدهم .فهم يمارسون الديمقراطية بشفافية وعلى الطريقة الغربية ، يتصورون إن ذهابهم أفواجاً وأفواج قاصدين تلك الصناديق ( المحروسة جدا ) اللهم إلا من المزورين يكفي ليضعوا النقاط على الحروف ، يتصورون إن بعض رجال الشرطة والأمن محايدون وأبرياء وان المفوضية العليا للانتخابات ( المستقلة جداً ) قادرة وتريد أن تكشف أي تزييف لأصواتهم وان وان وان ... ، إنهم يعيشون في جمهورية أفلاطون الفاضلة .
لست من هواة تعكير ألاجواء والأمزجة فأنا مثلهم ثمل من رأسي حتى أخمص قدمي بكلمات تشربت عليها كالحق و الديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان و و .... لكني استميحكم عذراً لأني ( سأزف ) إليكم بعض مشاهدات الديمقراطية الجديدة من مدينة ( القهر والاستلاب ) ، نعم مدينة القهر والاستلاب فهي مدينة عراقية كبيرة وهامة جداً جداً يسيل لها لعاب البعض من الداخل والخارج ؛ هذه المدينة (كركوك ) تجري فيها كل الأمور بهدوء وروية دون إثارة الأنظار فالسرقة تتم ليلاً والناس نيام ، إلا أهلها المغلوب على أمرهم إلى حين فالنوم لا يعرف إلى جفونهم طريقاً .
وأنا أسير في شوارعها القديمة وأزقتها الخِربة انقل إليكم مشاهد يومين، يومين فقط:
المشهد الأول : الأربعاء صباحاً 14 كانون الأول 05 سيارات الشرطة و الطوارئ تجوب الطرقات طولاً وعرضاً لا لتحمي الناس وتطبق القانون بل لتعرض أعلام كردستان أمام المارة ومكبر صوتها تحولت إلى أبواق للاستفزاز بأناشيد وخطب كردية .
المشهد الثاني : الأربعاء مساء 14 كانون الأول 05 بعض سيارات الطوارئ والشرطة تتعاون لكن في تمزيق الدعايات الانتخابية للأحزاب والكيانات غير الكردية من الجدران .
المشهد الثالث: الخميس صباح يوم الانتخاب، صباح جميل والناس يتوجهون بسرور وإصرار إلى صناديق الانتخاب، سيارات الشرطة والطوارئ تجوب الشوارع وخاصة شارع منطقة تسعين ومصلى ذات الغالبية التركمانية حاملة الأعلام الكردية وكأنها تريد تصفية حساب قديم ، وقد كان فارس هذا العمل الرئيسي شرطة الطوارئ .والحقيقة ؛ المشكلة ليس في الأعلام فكل الأحزاب لها أعلامها وإنما في من يحمله الذي يفترض به الحياد والنزاهة ، هل هذا ما وعدونا به بعد تغيير النظام السابق ؟؟؟
المشهد الرابع : صباح يوم الانتخاب ، حراس دائرة القائمقامية يقطعون الشارع الرئيسي قرب مبنى المحافظة لا للتفتيش عن المسيئين ولا لتحمي المبنى عن المهاجمين بل ليرقصوا حاملين علم أحزاب الكرد ؛ وليضربوا طفلاً لا يتجاوز عمره العقد إلا بقليل لا لجريرة اقترفه سوى انه يقود دراجة هوائية عليها علم التركمان .
المشهد الخامس : صباح يوم الانتخاب من داخل إحدى مراكز الانتخاب ؛ رجل ينتخب ويتجادل مع مراقب إحدى الكيانات الذي يتهمه بتكراره للتصويت لأكثر من مرة .
المشهد السادس: فتاة لم تبلغ السن القانونية للانتخاب تنتخب بكل حرية .. يتعالى اعتراضات الكيانات السياسية العربية والتركمانية ليجيبهم المسؤول : عدكم ورقة وقلم وإذا ما عدكم انطيكم .
المشهد السابع : رجال شرطة يدخلون قاعة التصويت ليصوتوا(علما بانهم صوتوا قبل الانتخابات بيومين ليتفرغوا للحماية) ....
المشهد الثامن : ناخبون يقدمون أوراق مستنسخة ودفاتر خدمة عسكرية صادرة من السليمانية بتاريخ 1982 وعندها قال له موظف التدقيق ان اسمهم غير مسجل ضمن القوائم أصروا وتدخلت الكيانات السياسية العربية والتركمانية لمنعهم لكنهم نجحوا في النهاية من التصويت لان مسؤول المركز الكردي سمح لهم وعند خروجهم قالوا لبعض الجالسين ( نصوت رغم انفكم )
المشهد التاسع : احد المراقبين يتجادل بشدة مع مسؤول المركز الكردي لأنه سمح لناخب بالتصويت ( تسع عشرة مرة ؟؟؟؟ ) نعم تسع عشرة مرة ؟ لم يحدث هذا في دارفور بعيدة عن أعين المراقبين وإنما في العراق رغم كل العيون والأضواء المسلطة عليه ، وتحديداً في ناحية صغيرة لايتجاوز عدد سكانها ببيوتها المهدمة ( الخمسةالآف نسمة ) اسمها ( قرة عنجير ) والأغرب أن عدد الناخبين وصل فيها إلى (خمسة وعشرون الفاً ) .وقد كان بطل التزوير فيها بلا منازع السيد (صباح ) مسؤل المفوضية هناك اما اهم مراكز التزوير فهي منتشرة وجلية لاخجل فيها وهي ( مدارس قرة عنجير ، سركاني ، ومركز باني مقان اهم مواقع التزوير بالجملة والمفرد ) فضلاً عن سيارات الكوستر وبأعداد كبيرة تجوب هذه المناطق لتنقل مصوتوا السليمانية الى هذه المراكز في كركوك ، لينتهي عرس الانتخابات والديمقراطية الجديدة في الساعة العاشرة صباحاً بهدوء وسلام ، ولتخرج علينا المفوضية ( المحترمة ) وتقول إن كل شيء على ما يرام .
المشهد العاشر : قرى متناثرة بين التلال تنتخب وهذه حقاً ظاهرة حضارية منها قرى ( بنه ، كوركي ، جيمن ، قرة ويس ، باش بولاغ ، ...) عدد منازل كل قرية من خمسة إلى عشرون لتخرج ألينا النتائج بالأعاجيب لايقل تعداد كل منها عن أربعة الآف نسمة، حتى كادت ناحيتي شوان وقرة عنجير تصلان الى حدود ( خمسين ألف نسمة ) .
هذه مشاهدات قليلة من عدسة مراقب واحد

فأين الديمقراطية من كل هذه .. لماذا لا يُحقق في كل هذه الخروقات ؛ فلاندري لماذا لا يتغير شخوص المفوضية فهي الثابت الوحيد في العراق . كيف يخرج علينا السيدان المبجلان (فريد آيار و عادل اللامي ) الكارهان جداً جداً لعدسات الفضائيات بتصريحات صاروخية رنانة عن النجاح العظيم للانتخابات و عدم وجود أية خروقات وعن النزاهة وسيطرة المفوضية على الأمور ؛ اللهم إلا إذا لم تكن المفوضية تعلم ، أما إذا كانت تعلم فتلك المصيبةُ الأعظم .
والباقي متغيرات، انه سؤال قد يعتبره العارفون ببواطن الأمور ساذجاً . لكن الحقيقة الأكيدة أن تغيير صورة كركوك التركمانية سيستمر إلى وقت قادم إلى أن يحققوا غايتهم في تغييب التركمان طالما تواجد على أرضهم ملوك التزوير . فمن غير المعقول ولا المقبول أن يتسائل احد بعد الان عن سؤال ساذج ( لماذا يخسر التركماني الاصوات في مدينته التأريخية كركوك ؟؟؟)

"779" the PKK List Participating in the Iraqi Elections!

Sorry for not being with you through my blog. I was busy; I was not busy.. I wrote lot of things but in Iraq every moment there is something worthy to be documented. Yet what had happened in the "very" democratic "elections" is worthy to be on the blog.

"Hizb al-hal al-democrati al-kurdistani- the Party Kurdistan Democratic Solution" is a "Kurdish" party that occupied a luxury apartment owned by a former high ranking Iraqi official at Abu Nuwas Street in Baghdad in the first weeks of the occupation. .The party organized many press conferences but always their statements were ambiguous.
The Party moved to another building in Baghdad; raising PKK flags every often. Yet; many Iraqi and international media networks discovered the Party is representing PKK while the American authorities in Iraq used to announce their support to the Turkish governments against PKK.
Nechervan Barzani, the Prime Minister of Erbil thanked Turkey for the help in digging the oil wells in Zakho- northern Iraq, 16 km far from the Turkish borders. According to Barzani, "Turkey allowed to locate part of the digging platform in Turkish territory". In the same time, PKK using its "Iraqi" name "Al-Hal" is participating in the lections under the numbers 779.
The candidates should be Iraqis holding Iraqi IDs and the Ration Cards, the data base of the ration cards is the base recognized by the Electoral Commission that put the conditions for the nominees who should represent Iraqi political parties and movements. The question is: from where PKK members in Iraq did get Iraqi documents?
Many Iraqi parties are saying since April 03 that many non Iraqis are interfering in the Iraqi internal affaires working with political parties that are ruling Iraq since then. Now, the Electoral Commission that should prove its integrity by comparing the numbers of the new "issued" ration cards with the numbers of the former Iraqi ministry of trade; there are the numbers of the ration cards of those who were expelled.
According to this the electoral commission had to believe those who are speaking about the participation of non Iraqis in the last elections and constitution referendum. That participation which made certain parts won on the account of other parts. Such violations would change the results of the coming elections and would change the history of Iraq.
To keep Iraq united needs huge efforts and the big player is the Electoral Commission that supposed to be independent; yet the commission announced that the voting in the last elections and referendum was "clean" without major "violations"!!
If the participation of non Iraqis is not a major violation; who could help the Iraqis and define the term "Violation"?
The main players in Iraq are continuing their roles toward dividing the country otherwise the scheme of a bloody civil war are ready waiting the results of the coming elections.

Death Squads!

On the last day of the Cairo meeting, the different Iraqi parties and movements approved the final communiqué; among them was the association of the Moslem scholars. The Association was attacked a lot of being an apologist of the "terrorist" yet the Association ask always to recognize the Iraqi resistance and the others should differentiate between the resistance and the terrorism. The Iraqis had a deep breath for the apparently success of the Cairo meeting. They felt it was a step toward stop the coming well- planned civil war.
BUT; the DEATH SQUADS wearing police and ING uniform; driving four wheel vehicles that used by the high-ranking officials continue their work in targeting the Suunis. Today Sheikh Kadhim Sarhid al-Hemaiyem, a Suuni leader was killed along with three sons and a son in law in Baghdad; one month ago the same SQUADS killed his elder son. Two days ago another Sunni religion man with two his sons were killed. Many Sunnis were arrested in Baghdad, Diyala and other parts of Iraq. Today, a new operation began against Ramadi, about 80km west of Baghdad. Ramadi is the main city of Anbar province; Falluja, Qaim and Haditha are parts of the same province.
Civil war is a Shiite-Kurdish dream and plan. Shiites are after their region or their independent state to be linked with Iran. Kurdish and according to Barzani, "will announce our independent state if a civil war begin."
Sunnis were blamed for boycotting the political process in so called the "NEW IRAQ"; now they are trying to be a part of this process but there is "who" is trying to stop them.
The Iraqis, Sunnis and Moqtada followers feel that Badr Forces, the militia of SCIRI, are after the death squads. They labeled these forces as "GHADR FORCES- the treachery forces". These forces were trained in Iran and now they are the Iranian trend Shiite parties strong hand in Iraq.
When the former transitional prime minister Ayad Allawi tried to dismantle the militias of the political parties; Badr forces became Badr Organization; a political organization with tens of thousands fighters.
To be fair; I should say that the death squads are targeting not only the Sunnis but also the Shiites who were pilots and officers in the former Iraqi army; the Shiite Ba'thists, the Shiite academics.
To be fair again; many Iraqis believe that US occupation forces are after the death squads as a tool to stay more in Iraq; they also believe that US and Israel are after killing the Iraqi academics.
WHO ever is; the result is the same: killing the Iraqis; forcing the intellectual to flee and destroying Iraq and the Iraqi value scale more and more.

Saddam the "Value"!

On May 1st 2003; Bush announced that he liberated Iraq to save the Iraqis from the tyrant bringing to them the human rights according to the international laws, charters and accords The tyrant who spent 35 years killing and torturing the Iraqis. Yet the US military forces and their Iraqi collaborators forgot the Human Rights Charter in Iraq. The Americans are fighting the terrorism on the Iraqis account to give the Americans a safer world while the Iraqi collaborators are achieving the agendas of the countries they spent the years of exile. Whenever the Iraqis asked and still about their rights; the answer was and still, "could you dare to ask Saddam?"
When the Abu Gharib scandal discovered and hundreds of Iraqi detainees were tortured, humiliated and sexually abused; the Americans and the new Iraq high ranking officials were trying to defend them selves saying, "but Saddam used to torture the detainees"!! When the International Transparency announced Iraq as the most corrupted country in the world; the new Iraq ministers say, "but Saddam was corrupted"!!
Last week, on the day the Pentagon admitted using the lethal White Phosphorous against the "enemy" in Falluja- November-December 2004; the US military forces announced discovering an underground prison administrated by the ministry of interior affairs. The news bulletins put the admitting once putting the new Iraqi scandal every hour. 176 detainees mostly Sunnis were tortured. Those who were in charge of torturing used the same torture machines used under Saddam. Again, trying to defend themselves; the high ranking officials of the ministry said, "but Saddam and his followers used to torture the prisoners"!!
So those who came in the pretext of saving the Iraqis from Saddam but Saddam became their "value". They are not dealing with the Iraqis like him but they are competing him trying to be better than him in harming the Iraqis.
To be fair they could not compare themselves with Saddam. to be fair they should compare year by year. In the first two years Saddam did not kill about 150 000 civilians, did not steal about $10 billion. So we can imagine what will be happen to Iraq and Iraqis after 35 years. Then they can compare themselves with their "value" Saddam.
According to the available reports, 150 000 civilian Iraqis were killed from the beginning of the American invasion till the last week. Iraq became the most danger place to live in. Iraq became the poorest despite the vast national recourses; about 60% from the Iraqi labor forces are jobless. There is shortage in fuel although Iraq is one of the largest oil producers countries in the world. Despite the donations; the reconstruction did not begin.
In new Iraq, sex trafficking, drugs and street children became phenomenon that we did not know under Saddam. yet the most dangerous phenomenon is the death squads. Unknowns wearing police uniforms; driving police four wheel vehicles are kidnapping and killing tens every week and the ministries of defense and interior are observing silently. The international rate of the terrorist actions is 10 victims per operation; in Iraq it is 23 victims per operation!!
Long live New Iraq.

Between the Zarqawi Hard Place and the American Rock!

Yesterday five members of one family, three children in Diyala, 70km northeast of Baghdad. US military forces admitted the crime saying in their communiqué," they were killed by mistake!!". Another communiqué stated, "the driver failed to stop at the checkpoint". Days ago, an American tank crushed a car killing a whole family in Doura-Baghdad. The driver did not failed to stop but the Americans vehicles have the right of crushing any car while patrolling in the streets and the pretext is "self defense"
With in three days more than 200 civilians and 25 police and INGs were killed; more than 200 wounded in suicide attacks in Baghdad and other parts of Iraq. As usual Zarqawi announced responsibility.
Zarqawi is killing; his pretext is saving the Iraqis from the infidel Americans; the Americans are killing; their pretext is saving the Iraqis from the terrorists and fundamentalists!! The Iraqis do not know how to defend and save their lives!!
Back to the American's checkpoints; the Americans shot a friend of mine because he failed to stop at the checkpoint in Doura-Baghdad. There were 36 bullets in his car and more than 20 shrapnels in his face and body. According to the report he was given by the Americans themselves he was fired 100 meters away from the checkpoint!! My friend, who studied law, went to the compensation committee for the damages of his car. There he did not see the judge (an American)between them. An Iraqi translator was between the hall where the judge was and the waiting hall where the Iraqis should stay. Such judges could be seen only in Iraq. My friend did not know if the translator was accurate enough in conveying the "messages" between the Iraqis and the American judge!!
Back to Zarqawi; the number 2 US commander in Iraq said today that the DNA approved Zarqawi was not among those who were killed in Mosul three days ago. Then the Americans said that they bombed a house where eight of Al-Qaeda leaders.
What could the Iraqis do except dying?
The family of Zarqawi expelled him from the tribe after the terrorist attacks of Amman. In a letter published in the Jordanian dailies; his brother said that Abu Musab astonished him by attacking the Jordanian!! This brother was not astonished while Abu Musab is killing the civilian Iraqis all over Iraq every day.. on the contrary, the family was always very proud of the son heroic actions!!
Whom we could blame?
Again I am asking the Americans to thank the Iraqis; they owe us; we are dying to give them a safer world!! Till when the world will leave Bush continuing his war against terrorism in Iraq?
Defiantly no body have the answer; while Bush confirms every day his staying in Iraq until "our goals will be achieved"..

No Dispute!

The two main Kurdish parities: PUK of the Iraqi transitional president Jalal Talbani and KDP of Masoud Barzani are ready to forget their disputes for the coming elections. They are ready to shake hands working together toward controlling Iraq more and more. Iraqis will never forget, should the Kurds not forget too, that in August 1996, Barzani asked Saddam's help to save KDP and Erbil from PUK. Then the Iraqi forces entered Erbil to rescue Barzani raising the flag now being refused by Barzani himself. "WE do not raise a flag under which my people were killed". He pretends to forget that under the same flag he was saved… he pretends forgetting being close from Saddam…
Whatever, the disputes are still under the ashes. For example "Asiacell" a mobile phone company that owned by Hero Talbani, Jalal's wife and a Kurdish business man from Sulaimaniya is working almost all over Iraq except Erbil. In their turn, in Erbil they have their own company. A Kurd from Sulaimaniya could not contact another Kurd in Erbil by Asiacell, and vice versa, there are not exchanged nets between the two companies.
Last week, I was in Erbil for a small vacation. I took the attached photo. PUK (green) the color of Talbani party xed by yellow (Barzani's color), the banners are here and there in Erbil. It is a gesture says, "We do not want you".
Who could say there is no dispute…?

My Day!!

Today,
At morning I received a message from an old friend who left Iraq in the first weeks of the occupation. The message did not give me the pleasure should I have. Day after day I am discovering that my ongoing agony is not deep in my heart but deep in my soul and memory. I felt her tears through the computer," I do not know if we are going to see each other in Baghdad again. I am suffering from a fatal disease. Please stay safe and remember our old days."
Did her sickness surprise me? I do not think so… the real Iraqi takes his heart and memory while living the country... How much the heart could bear the ongoing pain in Iraq?
Frankly I did not remember her before... I tried after reading her mail to recall her face; yet I failed. Barely I could remember my face before the occupation; how could I recall the others!! I am afraid of my mirror; one day all the forgotten faces will jump from it's behind. Then I will meet eyes looking to nowhere. Exactly like the last time I saw them; they were living Iraq to nowhere; even those who were lucky in getting asylum are not living but surviving; like us in Iraq.
I chose to stay in Iraq waiting to see the smile of the palm trees again; once upon a time!!
Before noon, I left my hose with a "dissolved" friend. He was a journalist in Al-Jumhuriya Daily which was dissolved when Bremer ordered dissolving the ministry of information in May 03 leaving about 20 000 families without works. I accompanied him to the ministry of culture where locates "the committee of the information". The committee is trying to find alternative work places for the dissolved former workers and journalists who continued asking for a solution since June 03; the committee was established three months ago. This only one example how the problems are being solved very quickly in Iraq!!!
The ministry of culture occupies the building of the Iraqi Fashion House. The ministry's own building was looted and burnt. Thousands of pieces of the Iraqi modern art were looted from the building before burning it in April 03; since then we are hearing about the reconstruction!! However; the building of the Iraqi Fashion House was one of the most beautiful buildings in the country. As soon as we interned the reception hall when hundreds were waiting; a wave of bad smell attacked us… this building which was always the symbol of the Iraqi beauty once became very dirty.
To find an alternative work place; the dissolved should sign a document answering two questions," had you ever been a member of Ba'th Party? Had you ever been an agent of the intelligence offices?"
The scene was painful. Hundreds served Iraq more than 30 years are waiting to find an alternative place to retire then to have monthly salaries. Hundreds of journalists will lose their posts; the editor will be an accountant for example because those journalists lost their posts when the dissolving decree was issued! My friend gave me the last issue of "Dijla" the cultural monthly published by the ministry of culture. The last issue appeared two days ago with an important interview with Dr. Enad Ghazwan. The writer did not mention that Ghazwan passed away 13 months ago!! When I told a translator whom I know and had an article in the same issue that Ghazwan died almost a year ago; she refused to believe!!!
However; my friend received his salary and we were back. I was driving with fear. Many police patrols and check points in the streets; always there are Americans hammers patrolling; what would be happened if a car bomb comes?
My fear made me ask my self, "Those students, workers, drivers and shoppers who are insisting on leaving their houses to their works are very brave or much despaired?"
The street gives more pain. Iraq, one of the wealthiest countries of the world, became a place of beggars, homeless people and millions under poverty line. WHY? I have no answer; at least now. An old man, about 70 years old, wearing a clean Dishdash, traditional Arabic cloth, with one broken arm was selling cigarettes. He was walking through the crowded street asking the drivers to buy his cigarettes. He was refusing any money without buying cigarettes.
In the news bulletins, no reports in detail about Operation Steel Curtain. Zarqawi threatened t begin Operation Revenge. Again, the civilian Iraqis will pay the high price: their blood.
After noon still affecting by the email of my friend; I decided to call an old friend Omer Juma, the Palestinian journalist who bean his career almost before 20 years of my birth date. Omer Juma was the correspondent of VOA in Iraq when the Kuwait issue began in August 1990. By chance he was in Kuwait when Bush Senior announced crying that the Iraqi forces killed the babies to steal the incubators. He went to the hospital and discovered the lies. He sent his report against Bush announcement to VOA. The report was aired once with in hours Juma was expelled. After the war he published an excellent book about the American and Western Media in Gulf war. After the war he left Iraq to settle in Amman. When the truth was disclosed about the fake incubators story, Juma went to the States to sue VOA. He began his case in 1997 but gained nothing.
I dialed his number in Amman; his wife answered with a weak voice. "May I speak with Omer?" I asked. "No; he is not here." She said. "What is the suitable time to call him please?" I asked again. "Omer passed away in July 04". "Sorry for that" I told her. What could I say more? Omer loved Iraq very much; sometimes he was Iraqi more than the Iraqis themselves. He lived in Iraq for 20 years. Before coming to Iraq, he, like the other Palestinians, he went from country to another in Europe and Middle East. I could not forget his tears that I felt in his voice when I called him after Baghdad was occupied.
Omer Juma passed away, may ALLAH ALMIGHTY bless his soul. Always I ask myself how the Arabs did not die when Baghdad was occupied. They did not die. They do not care.
At night, the US military reported, "some Iraqi civilians were killed in Husayba when a US jet attacked a house used by the insurgents last Monday, not realizing noncombatants were also inside the house".
The Iraqi minister of defense and to the government spokesman confirmed, "We will never change our policy against those who are giving the insurgents shelters". Although a marine statement quoted a local Iraqi as saying the insurants forced their way into the house; killing two and then locked the other members of the family in a room...
"Some Iraqis", what a phrase used in the US military report. No numbers; no excuse. "SOME".

I am sure that you heard about the statue of Abu Jaafer al-Mansour which was destroyed. Al-Mansour was the founder of Baghdad and the second Abbased caliph. He established Baghdad in 760AD.

In the beginning the IMN, the official media net that directed by a Shiite said," Terrorists exploded the statue". But later on we discovered that Badr and Iranians destroyed it because he killed Abu Moslem al-Khurasani (one of the Persians who tried to topple the Abbaseds because they were Arabs); and two children of Al-Hassan (the son of Imam Ali)!! Khalid al-Rahhal, the famous Iraqi artist who died in 1988 did that statue.
Then the supreme committee of deba'thification ordered to destroy the monuments that called "the march" in Al-Alawi Sq and "Al-aseer" in Al-Mustansiriay Sq... Now the committee issued orders to destroy the Unknown Soldier and the Martyr monuments. According to that "something Al-Saeedi" who is in charge of culture and educating office in the committee, " they are destroying things have relation with Ba'th Party".. Yet indeed they are destroying every thing has relation with the war with Iran.
It is a well- planned campaign to erase the memory of the Iraqis especially the young generation. Of course do not forget that they robbed and destroyed the all Iraqi museums, libraries and documents.
Help us to protect two monuments recorded as the most beautiful in the area.

After 1636, what does Syria do?
What had happened against Iraq confused me.
During the Iran-Iraq war; the late Syrian President Hafiz Al-Asad did his best helping the Iranians who were killing the Iraqis. Now with the Iranian interfere in Iraqi internal affairs and exporting terrorists to Iraq we are discovering but late that Iran was began the war.. So in that eight year bloody war Syria gave every possible support to the Iranians. In 1991, Syria, again Hafiz Al-Asad allied with USA lunching one of the dirtiest war of the history against Iraq.. Not only Syria, but Egypt and other Arab States; and the all with the Arab League supported the unfair sanctions imposed on Iraq that killed 750 000 Iraqi children under five.
In turn, the first martyr on the Egyptian front during the October war 1973 was an Iraqi pilot called Mohammed. The Egyptian writer and novelist Jamal Al-Ghaytani wrote about wrote about the martyr Mohammed in his book "The Guardians of the Eastern Gate"- published in Cairo and Beirut 1979.. In that book Al-Ghaytani before being bought by the Kuwaitis in 1990-1991, he wrote about the Iraqi forces that contributed in protecting Damascus and liberating Sinai. Plus, Iraq was always close to the Arabs; but Arabs, the regimes not the nations insisted to kill the Iraqis with the American Administrations… The Arab Nations that are always ruled by unjust rulers and they have nothing to do but obey, I hope the Americans will not harm the Syrian people.
I am praying may AlMighty Allah protect the children not only in Iraq and Syria but in the whole world. Pray with us; may AlMighty give the American Administrations calm and quite mood to deal with the others as human beings.
I am confused.. I should pray for Syrians or not? The WHOLE WORLD contributed and still in killing the Iraqis; I hope this ugly world will do some thing for Syria..

The Halloween Culture

It is Halloween..
The festival of honoring the ancestors but those who occupied America through genociding millions of the Native Americans and taking their heritage converted this honoring festival to an American festival with all the American thoughts, ideas, techniques and mood making it a festival of horror and fun.. Exactly like the style of the American Administration, any administration. The Bush Administration is terrorizing the other countries and nations giving fun and safety to the Americans.
On the day of Halloween; while millions of the Americans were marching in the streets celebrating the occasion with pumpkins and masks; the secretary of the state department Rice with her team were "celebrating" the Halloween in the Security Council forcing the other members to be against Syria. She and her team were terrorizing Syria while the Americans in the streets were having fun. Syria does not know what to do except accepting the resolution 1636 waiting the American coming scenario praying to not be like Iraq.
While the American troops were attacking Qaim, about 500 west of Baghdad by the afternoon, sources from Qaim general hospital announced that the bombing killed 40 civilians wounding another 20; the majority of them were women and children. The spokesman of the American forces in Qatar told the media that they killed "foreign terrorists" and "the enemy" was firing back..
Yet the hospital sources insisted that the Americans bombed the civilians while the sheikh of a tribe in Qaim swore not having any "foreign terrorist" in Qaim. The Americans use to tell the media the same pretext while attacking the Iraqi cities and towns, "the foreign terrorists", yet till now we did not see any" foreign terrorists" on the TVs to believe their pretexts.
While the Americans are using pretexts; the Iraqi minister of defense was so ugly while trying to clarify the new American strike against Qaim. In his press conference, he put an American Halloween mask saying, "those whoa re sheltering the terrorists deserve even no single tear.. We should send them to the hell"!!
Sadoon Dulaimi, the so called minister of defense know that "if" there were foreign "terrorists" in the striked areas; they are staying without the knowledge of the ordinary people who are being killed every strike. Did ever Dulaimi ask him self why the American had the right to ask the help of other forces to invade Iraq and the Iraqis have not the same right to restore their country and dignity?
It is the last days of Ramadan, the days of more praying and asking AlMighty Allah to protect us, the Iraqis, not from the American but from their Iraq collaborators who are worse that the Americans in dealing with the Iraqis.
Duraid….., 27 years old Iraqi young was arrested by the Americans. He said that the Americans investigated with him for 10 minutes finding noting against him; he was submitted to the Iraqis authorities that released him after 38 days without any reason. Duraid told his friends," if an Iraqi detainee refused to cooperate with his American investigators; the Americans threatened to give him to the Iraqi National Guards!!!
The American occupiers and their Iraqi collaborators are playing the game of changing the places.. Always the looser is the Iraqi, especially the civilian.
This is the culture of the Halloween.. I do not know why do not the Americans re read their history to find who was the first terrorists and will the last also; I hope.

Lost and Found

Since ages I received nothing from my New Yorker beautiful friend "P". I have nothing to tell her.. What a great gap between Baghdad and New York.. How could I make her to imagine the Iraqi situation which is beyond imagination? I miss her always; yet have nothing to do…In her turn; she could do nothing. She participated in the demos refusing the war, the invasion and the aftermath occupation. She is participating in every single occasion asking the Administration to pull out the American forces. She knows that I lost hundreds of dreams to give the Americans and her SAFER WORLD.
To loss dreams… to loss friends… to feel alone… How could I make the Americans, of course not my friends P and the others, to feel these losses while they are living the American style of life; the consuming style of life… they are working the day to pay their debts. The debts are increasing. They have nights without dreams but nightmares of bankruptcy. How could I explain why my beloved friend P sent me the following song:

The Bells Ring In US; the Hearts Hear In Iraq

I am not writing every day because every minute there is some thing happening. I do not know what to write.. Yet I am writing today while the American (announced) death toll reached 2000 yesterday and the reports added another two today. Was it coincident to announce the (approval) of the Constitution in Iraq with the announcement of the figure (2000)?
As I used to say that President Bush needed the approval more than the Iraqis. In Iraq we knew that if a miracle would happen and the all said "NO" the result would be "YES". Bush needs to tell the Americans, the tax payers, that he achieved "some thing". The so called Constitution is an excellent pretext to convince the Americans that their children are not dying for nothing; they are dying to give the Iraqis a "democratic country"!!!
Since yesterday, the reports are speaking about the "2000" Americans; no report speaks about the Iraqis death toll! Till now we, the Iraqis, do not know how many Iraqis soldiers and officers were killed during the invasion? How many Iraqis, specially, the civilians were and are being killing every day?
The Americans are scarifying themselves; yet the truth is the Americans are dying for Bush and for his agenda. The Iraqis are dying for the same agenda.
If the reports are not speaking about the Iraqis; those Americans who know the truth are speaking about us and doing their best to make us feel that we are not alone.
A friend of mine forwarded the following message from Cathy Breen of the Voices in the Wilderness:

I have nothing to say but thank you Cathy, thank you Voices; the organization that tried to be with the Iraqis while being sanctioned; now they are trying to be with the victims of their administration.

Do Not Kill Our Children

On Sunday, only hours after the referendum, Americans killed 25 civilians in Ramadi, 20 children were among them! According to the sources of the Ramadi general hospital, the children were gathering near a destroyed humvee. An ID exploded killing five American soldiers and destroying the vehicle. The civilians gathered, as Iraqis; use to do even when a car bomb kills tens of them.
Americans did not kill the children for the first time. They use to kill Iraqi civilians by their "friendly fires" for different pretexts. Those children were killed to "protect the American military industry secrets". Although the Americans did not announce this pretext this time; but they used it when they killed ten of children in Haifa Street were gathering near a destroyed American tank.. Without any shame, their communiqué s stated that they were protecting their military industry secrets!! As if the Iraqi children are "James Bond"s..
On the same day, the American forces killed three from the bodyguards of the Diyala governor by "mistake".
Sorry for not writing daily. I am like the other Iraqis very confused waiting the official results of the referendum. Proudly I said NO. I am not against the State of law and Constitution; but I am against a constitution written by the Americans instructions.
Back to the killed children; we did not hear the high-ranking Iraqi officials condemning the crime. Why to condemn? They are from Ramadi that said NO to the constitution and before to the occupation. We need you to condemn as high as you could: DO NOT KILL THE IRAQI CHILDREN. Iraqi children have their enough. They are living under severe psychological conditions; about 60% from them are living under poverty line. Thousands of them became street children.
America invaded Iraq using many fake pretext; building the Iraqi future was among them.. What a future through killing Iraqi children?
Can anybody answer me?

Enjoy the Winter!

It is autumn (fall) the season that I love or loved when life was possible in Iraq as I say always.
Winter is coming.. Do you ever try to wait winter alone with no hope and dream?
It is the 25th winter in Iraq under wars, sanctions and occupation. Winter after another we began losing friends, relatives and beloved persons. It was a winter day when I lost my father years ago. He was 62 years old; passed away in his first heart attack. There were no medicines in the hospitals because of the sanctions!! It was a winter day when the Americans began with 2500 warplanes bombing Baghdad and Iraq; it was a winter day when the Americans again began invading my country.
Winter: the intimate love nights; the warm rain days; such winter is not in Iraq. Before the occupation I used to be friend with the first drop of the rain I could follow it on my window. Then follow it on the streets dancing with the lights of the cars. Now, I could not feel that drop because opening the window while American vehicles are in the streets would evoke the American soldiers who have the right to defend them selves and kill me.
Winter, occupation and alone!! Could you imagine?
Before the occupation, wars and sanctions, when my country had no diplomatic relations with USA, winter was beautiful in Iraq. In Iraq southern west desert, there was a winter resort. Ten of small villas, 15 apartments and a small restaurant located close to Sawa Lake, about 400 km south west of Baghdad. There in the desert, it was possible to catch a star; the sky was too near. That complex was looted and burnt in 1991 becoming a station for the smugglers in addition to those who left Iraq for different reasons and came back with the Americans!! Many of them worked as guides in front of the American forces!!
While I am writing my feelings, an ID exploded before a while in Baghdad, a car bomb killed 30 civilians in Tel Afer..
American and their Iraqi collaborators are ready to burn Iraq to make the Iraqis feel insecure forcing them to say "YES" in the Saturday referendum. We, the Iraqis, know very well that Bush needs the constitution more than us. He is trying to save his face; if there is a face.. Approving the constitution will give him that chance. We are going to say "NO". Yet we know that the constitution is being approved!
Winter; tiny peaces of clouds here and there are challenging the sun; managing to cover a part of it. We are like that clouds. We managed to disclose the American's agenda in our country and we will mange inshalalh to clean our country.
One winter we will feel the love again in Iraq. The American's agenda in Iraq took 30 years from my life.. How many 30 years I have more to enjoy life and winter?

انتهاكات قانونية و "نزاهة" المفوضية العليا المستقلة في العراق!!

يعرف العراقيون جيدا بأن الرئيس الامريكي بوش بحاجة الى "الدستور" العراقي اكثر من العراقيين، فهذا الدستور في حال اقراره سيمنحه بعض "الاحترام" في داخل امريكا و خارجها. و لهذا السبب و غيره فأن العراقيين يعرفون ايضا بأن "الدستور" سيمرر حتى و ان رفضته محافظات ثلاثة او ثلثي المصوتين.
و لاجل حفظ ما تبقى من ماء وجه بوش و الحكومة العراقية الانتقالية الثانية فأن الكثير من الاساليب غير الديمقراطية يلجأ اليها مشجعو "الدستور" و حجتهم "ترسيخ الدبمقراطية"!!
اذن في هكذا ظروف هل تستطيع المفوضية العليا المستقلة للانتخابات المحافظة على حيادها؟
في انتخابات كانون الثاني الماضي، اشار العديد من المراقبين المحليين و تقارير صحفية الى التجاوزات و الخروقات التي حدثت و لكن المفوضية التي تتبع الامم المتحدة اصرت بأن الانتخابات كانت "نزيهة".. و لكن جندي امريكي كشف هذه "النزاهة" قبل ايام و اكد التجاوزات التي ارتكبها السياسيون الاكراد للفوز خاصة في كركوك و الموصل.
هل النزاهة ممكنة الان و الاستفتاء على الدستور يعد ايام و الانتخابات العامة بعد شهرين؟
فجأة و دون سابق انذار تم نقل مسوؤل المفوضية في كركوك "ابراهيم يونس ابراهيم" و هو الميقل و الحيادي القادم من بغداد و تم استبداله بآخر كردي تم استقدامه من شمال العراق.
يقول السيد عبد الحميد الكركوكلي من لجنة التنسيق بين المفوضية و الجبهة التركمانية:
• لقد اكتشف السيد ابراهيم حالات تزوير كردية عديدة لتسجيل عشرات الالاف من الاكراد في كركوك و هم في الحقيقة ليسوا اصلا من كركوك. وقد طالبته بالاشارة الى تلك الانتهاكات لكنه خاف ان يقومون باغتياله. و المعنيون في التخلص من السيد ابراهيم هما رزكار علي، الكردي و رئيس مجلس المحافظة الكردي!! و عادل اللامي مسؤول الكيانات السياسية في المفوضية.
و اكد الكركوكلي بأن اللامي لعب اللعبة نفسها في الانتخابات الماضية حين قام بنقل يحيى العاصي، مسؤول المفوضية في كركوك حينها و استبداله بآخر كردي مما سهل تسجيل 108 الف ناخب كردي في كركوك لم يكونوا اصلا من كركوك. و قد تم نقل العاصي بأيام قبل الانتخابات.. و الان فأن استقدام مسؤول كردي يعني تمرير تسجيل 227 الف كردي تم جلبهم الى كركوك من القرى الجبلية فقط لتغيير الواقع الديموغرافي للمدينة التي يطالب بها الاكراد. و يؤكد وكلاء المواد الغذائية و الحصة التموينية من غير الاكراد في كركوك ما ذهب اليه الكركوكلي. فقد تمت اضافة عوائل كردية لا يسكنون كركوك ولا يستلمون حصصهم بل اان مسؤولا كرديا سمح للوكلاء بيع حصص الاكراد المضافين الى القوائم، فهؤلاء لا يأتون سوى في الاستفتاء و الانتخابات لتنفيذ السياسة الكردية.
و هل تعرف المفوضية بهذه الانتهاكات؟
يقول الكركوكلي:
• نعم، فقد قمنا بتوثيق الانتهاكات و التجاوزات القانونية و اجتمعنا مع مسؤولي المفوضة العليا في بغداد و الذين وعدونا بأخذ تقارير التجاوزات الى فحصها في الامارات العربية المتحدة و قمنا فعلا بتجهز التقارير و ترتيبها في صناديق لتسهيل نقلها و الصناديق تنتظر لحد الان ان تسأل المفوضية عنها!!!
و المعروف ان الرئيس الدوري للمفوضية من كركوك و هو لا يخفي قوميته التركمانية لكنه يصر على انه حيادي، و اكد شخص قريب منه بأن جهات كردية قامت بتهديد رئيس المفوضية عزالدين المحمدي ان اصر على ان يستمر حياديا.. و الحيادية تعني قطعا كشف التجاوزات بغض النظر عن قومية و مذهبية مرتكبها.
و في قراءة للقائمة التي اعلنها الدكتور فريد ايار عضو مجلس المفوضية و الخاصة بعملية تجديد سجل الناخبين نجد ان الاسماء المضافة في كركوك هي 227 الف و 253 شخصا و في الموصل 127 الف و 323 شخصا و في ديالى 101 الف و 644 شخصا من مجموع 947 الف و 132 شخصا تمت اضافتهم في المحافظات العراقية كلها. و ليس سرا ان جميع المضافين في كركوك و الموصل و ديالى من الاكراد فقط.
ان الامم المتحدة اعتمدت على قائمة بيانات الحصة التموينية في الانتخابات الماضية أي انها اصبحت القاعدة الرسمية المعتمدة دوليا في العراق. و استنادا الى هذه القاعدة فأن عدد المرحلين من كركوك قبل الاحتلال كان 11 الف و 160 كان التركمان يشكلون الربع تقريبا. و بعلية حسابية بسيطة انجزها حزب العدالة التركماني نجد ان هذا الرقم تضاعف الى اكثر من ربع مليون شخص. فعدد الناخبين المسجلين حاليا في كركوك هو 716 الف و بطرح الاضافة البالغة 227 الف يكون عدد الناخبين في انتخابات كانون الثاني الماضية 489 الف و قد بلغ عدد الناخبين في سنة 2000، قبل سقوط النظام، 435 الف و قد تمت تضافة 54 الف منذ سقوط النظام لحد الانتخابات الماضية و بلغت الاضافة منذ سقوط النظام و لحد الان 281 الف ناخب. و تخيلوا ان لهؤلاء الناخبين عوائل لتعرفوا العدد الحقيقي للاكراد الذين تم استقدامهم الى كركوك.!! كل هذا يحدث و المفزضية تؤكد على "النزاهة" و حتى بعد ان استقال مديرها في البصرة بسبب الفساد المالي و الاداري و فساد الذمة، كما قال في بيان استقالته.
يحتل الاكراد الذين تم ادخالهم الى كركوك منذ اولى ايام الاحتلال معظم البنايات الحكومية و معسكرات الجيش السابق و بيوت الضباط و من استطاعوا طرده من العرب فضلا على تجتوزاتهم على الاراضي الحكومية و الخاصة لبناء بيوتهم. و هذا دليل آخر على انهم ليسوا من كركوك خاصة و ان النظام السابق قام بترحيل الاكراد و التركمان الذين لم يكونوا من كركوك اصلا و الدليل بقاء الاف العوائل الكردية داخل كركوك دون ترحيل.
كان اولى المنشآت التي احتلها القادمون الاكراد هي المخيم الكشفي في حي الواسطي و الملعب الاولمبي في الشورجة. و يطلق اهالي كركوك على المخيم الكشفي الان اسم حي "الفرهود" لان من بين سكنيها من قام بنهب و حرق الدوائر و الممتلكات العامة. وقال كردي يسكن و اسرته في حالة مزرية في منازع الملعب الاولمبي بأن الرئيس جلال الطالباني كان قد منح كل عائلة كردية ترغب بالسكن في كركوك 250 الف دينار في الاشهر الاولى لسقوط النظام، و كان المبلغ حينها يساوي 100- 150 دولارا! مع وعود بحسين حالتهم ان شاركوا في الانتخابات و الاحصاء السكاني و بالفعل نفذوا المطلوب منهم لكنهم ما زالوا يعيشون في ظروف غير انسانية ليكونوا ادوات تنفيذ المخطط الكردي.
و الاكراد الذين استقدموا الى كركوك من اصول فقيرة بالضبط كما فعل صدام حسين مع فقراء الجنوب الذين اسقدمهم لتعريب كركوك. و اذ يفخر جلال الطالباني بعدم وجود متسول كردي في السليمانية فان جميع المتسولين في كركوك تقريبا هم اكراد قدم معظمهم من السليمانية خاصة بعد قرار القاء القبض على المتسسولين في السليمانية. و يضرب الطالباني عصفورين بحجر: يقضي على الظاهرة غير الحضارية و اعني المتسولين في السليمانية و يزيد من نسبة الاكراد في كركوك.
و الوضع "الديمقراطي" في اربيل لا يختلف كثيرا في اللجوء الى كل وسيلة "غير ديمقراطية" لتنفيذ المخطط الكردي. و المعروف ان اربيل كانت مدينة تركمانية بل و استنادا الى احصاء 1957 فأن التركمان في اربيل اكثر من كركوك. و كان الاكراد يأتون الى المدينة من الجبال و القرى المحيطة بأربيل للعمل بأجور يومية في البنلء و الزراعة و استمر التركمان اكثرية لغية نهاية ستينيات القرن الماضي و مع اشتداد الحرب الشمالية اضطر الالاف من العائل الكردية ترك منازلها في الجبال و القرى بسبب القصف و اغمض صدام حسين عينيه بل و ساعد من خلال بناء قرى عصرية في تكريد اربيل. في اربيل منعت السلطات الكردية من رفع اية لافتة تحث على قول "لا" للدستور، و كانت هذه السلطات قد منعت الناخبين من استخدام اقلامهم بل اجبروهم على استخدام اقلام رصاص و قاموا بمسح تأشيرات الناخبين ووضعوا ما يفيدهم للفوز. و تم تسجيل هذه الانتهاكات و لكن المفوضية المستقلة اصرت و تصر على عدم وجود انتهاكات.
و قطعا فان واضعوا الدستور قد انتهوا من وضع مراسم الاحتفال بعد ان يتم فرز الاصوات و نجاح "ديمقراطية" امريكا في العراق.

Clarification

Sorry for not being with you last week. It was the first week of Ramadan; the most ritual month for us the Moslems. I hope the last word "Moslems" will not evoke those Americans who are offending and sending me to the hell only because I am telling the truth. The Americans, of course I am not speaking against them all because I have tens of Americans friends who are very noble, I mean those who are attacking my blog have nothing to defend their administration faults in destroying my country. Their faults generated more than 100 000 Iraqi civilian causalities and more than 2000 Americans soldiers were killed (of course it is the announced number!!).
I will not answer those American who are asking me to go to the hell because I am living already in the hell. Bush managed to convert Iraq from a dream into hell. I ask them to read Jimmy Massey book "KILL...KILL...KILL". Jimmy was with the American Marines for the last 12 years; he was in Iraq in the last 24 months. In Iraq, he discovered that they did not go to liberate the Iraqis as he was told but to destroy the country and kill the civilians. The American authorities did not allow publishing his book in American, so he published it in Paris. I hope the all Americans will read the book to discover the truth; then they will decide to send Bush to the hell.
I am writing to make you feel us in Iraq. I do appreciate your tears; yet we need an action that could stop this absurd.
Still the Americans, if they are friends or not, owe us, the Iraqis, because we are dying to give them a safer world!

Another Victim

A new black banner in our area mourns the martyr Atheer Abdul Khalik Al-Tarfy, 25 years old who was killed by dirty criminals.
I saw the banner yesterday; Atheer was killed two days ago.
Atheer was on his way home coming from Baghdad. He was in a minibus with 10 other passengers. In Al-Udhaim, the town about 110km north of Baghdad, they should slow down because of an American patrol. Americans has the right of firing any car alleging self defense; especially Al-Udhaim is a dangerous place for the Americans
All of sudden one of the Americans humvees stopped. One of its wheels needed to be changed. The driver of the minibus did know what to do. They are going to shot his minibus if he would stop. So he decided to drive slowly; as soon as he became close to the Americans; one American soldier opened his fire right and left killing 9 passengers; Atheer was one of them.
At home, Al-Hurra, the American TV directed to the Iraqis and Arabs, was interviewing Abbas Al-Bayati, the member of the so called national assembly and two politicians about the law of fighting the terrorism in Iraq. According to Al-Bayati red in the drafting law the terrorist is every body kills, blackmails, terrorizes, threatens, horrified the others; exactly what the Americans are doing in Iraq.
The American Administration is leading the international terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and in 45 other countries where the American forces are being deployed.
This administration, whoever the president is, terrorizes not only the world but the American themselves. Please read this important book "The Cultural Cold war" and you will discover the crimes committed by different American presidents against the Americans for almost 50 years until the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The Mother's Agony

All the Iraqis are terrorists until the occupation authorities will prove it!! Every Iraqi mother could not sleep the night; she stays worrying until the morning; fearing of the after midnight unwelcomed visitors.
There are continuous raids, especially at nights, every where in Iraq. American forces and Iraqi National Guards have the right to enter any house without asking permission. We are being ruling by the American Terrorism Act.
I heard that my friend Amel Kadhim Swadi was arrested with her younger son Safa, 17 years old. The both stayed in custody the whole night in Baghdad air port. By the way one of the American giant achievements in Iraq we should admit is that they converted the all Iraq civilian and military air ports to jails; then by the cooperation with the Iraqi authorities they managed to make the whole Iraq a prison; the largest prison in the world which is worthy to genius book; a prison with 26 million prisoners capacity.
Amel, a well known lawyer who used to defend the Iraqi detainees, lives in Al-Khadhra neighborhood west Baghdad. Last Saturday, at 8pm, she was driving to the near supermarket with her daughter and two sons; the elder Zaid is a lawyer too.
As soon as she left the garage; she was astonished by an American patrol and a strong spot light on her face. She decided to return home but a loudspeaker ordered her to stop.
She did. Many American soldiers came to check. They searched them. Then they used detector pads and deciding that they suspected the younger son whom they will arrest. Amel tried to protect her son asking them to arrest her with him because she knew that her son did nothing. They blocked the area; cuffed the hands of the son and the mother. About 10pm, many humvees came to the location. Ten of the Americans created a human shield beginning another round of searching. Then they decided to detain the son and the mother. Amel was put in a humvee blind folded while her hands cuffed behind her back. The son, Safa, was taken by another humvee; again he was blind folded and his hands cuffed behind.
They were taken to Baghdad air port to be investigated. They were asked many questions.
"Are you Shiite or Sunni?" they asked. "I am a Moslem", she answered. "You should answer Shiite or Sunni?", a Moslem, Amel insisted. "From where you are?" they asked. "I am from Misan, Emara", Amel said. "So you are a Shiite". "We are Moslems, my husband is from Mosul, and we live in Baghdad", Amel told them adding, "You are trying to separate Sunnis and Shiites to destroy my country". Then one of them recognized her. "As if I saw you before" told her. "Sure because I am the layer of the detainees and visit all your prisons", she said adding, "In your country you could not meet a lawyer without a previous date; but here you are insisting on humiliating the Iraqis".
Then they opened her eyes began behaving politely.. Amel and son were freed at 5am. While leaving the agte, a female American soldier put her hand in Amel's pocket!! At home she discovered that she put $20 in her pocket.. She did not know how to explain this $20! Did the American soldier was trying to apologize and finding no other way? Was she trying to give her the rent of a taxi back to home? Or she was trying to humiliate her again?
Amel has no clue. Now she is looking for a house close to her family to feel safe. Amel told me," Now I will intensive my work more and more. I know that most of the Iraqi detainees are being detained for doing nothing. They arrest any body then they forget him in the jail".
Last March, at 4.30 am, the curfew ends at 5am, my door was knocked strongly. I opened the door. 18 ING with their officer asked me to allow them in. "with whom are you living here?" the officer asked politely. "With my son", I answered. "do you let us to search the house?". "Yes".
Then the officer asked again, "Is ………. Your son?". "yes". "where is he?" " Sleeping in his room."
I felt as if he will go to awake him. So I asked him to let me awake him. As soon as I entered my 22 years old son room; the officer radioed his commander," Sir we arrested the TARGET".
I was astonished telling them," My son did nothing. You could not take him alone. I will come with him."
They refused. My son asked them to let him change his clothes. "We are not taking you to a picnic", one of the soldiers told him.
The officer felt my agony; he asked the soldiers to not cuff his hands in front of my hands.
I will never ever forget my son looking at me asking by his eyes if I am going let them to take him alone.

As soon as they took my son, I began praying. I do not what to do, whom to call. With the dawn call of prayer I begged AL-MIGHTY ALLAH to bring my son back. My phone began ringing. The porter of our building asked me down to "receive" my son.
There was no power. I went 13 floors down. The officer apologized saying that they had a report accusing my son; but they discovered that he is a university student who did nothing; still he should take care of his behavior!! I had nothing to say but alhamdulklilah "thank to Allhah".
It is easy to write now but then only Allah knows how much I cried; how many bad thoughts I had. Till now, whenever my door being knocked I become afraid.

A Different Day; But....

A group of talented artists, musicians and painters, gathered today in "Qishla" hall in Kerkuk playing ud and violins and exhibiting paintings. They were trying to give color and taste to an Iraqi day; trying to make it different.
They succeeded although the paintings were reflecting the every day pain and violence. The painters used bright colors giving some feeling to blood was shed before a while somewhere in Iraq.
Qishla, a Turkish word means the place where the army stay at the winter, built by the Otomans about 200 years ago. Qishla was maintained a decade ago and became the Kerkuk museum. As the other Iraqi museums, Qishla bombed, looted and burnt in 1991 and 2003.
The Union of the Turkmen Artists decided to maintain the old building and today they were showing their first activity. "We will survive", the music, paintings and the eyes were saying.
(........) the communist poet who left his southern town 30 years ago hiding himself in Kerkuk became a follower of Muqtada showing his "NO" to the occupation.. The poet told me, "They are working against us, the followers of Muqtada". Who are they? "Those who are working against the Iraqis". He answered adding," They arrested Abu Nadhim along with his four young sons and Abu Hameed with his three sons week ago. Then the freed them but keeping one son from each family arrested".
I closed my eyes trying to enjoy the music but a boom sound came forcing me back to the real life.. Is it life?
Since the sanctions I used to say, "I am surviving not living". I guess you know the difference between surviving and living.
The Union did an excellent job. Qishla became a wonderful piece of architect yet one can feel its wounds while touching the white gypsum walls.
On my way back home; an ID exploded targeting a police patrol. The incident took place in a crowded place. Two policemen and four civilians were killed.
I am writing now while it is raining outside. The first drops paving the way for the winter.
WINTER, the season I love. Do I love it till now? I could not answer. The rain is knocking the window; recalling the previous winters. How warm were the previous winters when love and dream were possible without any fear. Love became pain in Iraq. the Americans "friendly bullet" or a car bomb can easily steal the beloved persons. How much the heart, any heart, can bear losing the beloved persons?

help me collecting the ashes

Why the woman I was? I managed to survive the invasion and 21 days and nights with severe bombing.. On April 9- 03, when the era of so called "NEW IRAQ" began I felt not belonging more to this place that once was Iraq. Since then I forgot the woman I was before the occupation. I tried to remember me but I failed.
Defiantly I am not the woman I was..
Then, before the invasion; I used to tell myself and the friends," I could not bear seeing Baghdad wounded again; I will die if her face going to be distorted again". Yet I am surviving till now. Am a tough woman or another woman?
I have no answer except I am now like the Iraq that I am keeping in my heart; we both are strangers in our homes. As my brother says," I am watching Iraq on the TV as if I am watching a place I do not know!" it is painful to say so and to feel so.. Still we, the Iraqis, used to live with the pain, any pain.
Pain and ashes are part of our history. There is an old story goes back to Ur, about 4400 BC says," The queen mother began crying when the Persians destroyed Uruk for the third time. Her son, the king, came and kissed her hands saying that Uruk was destroyed twice before and they managed rebuild it again from the ashes". Yet, the Americans leave no ashes but pain.
Before creating this blog; I felt no enough place in my heart for new wounds. I need to be speak; with whom? I lost tens of friends and relatives because of the wars and the sanctions. I marked more than 70 names in my phone book with red hearts. The marked names died, left Iraq or isolated themselves.
I need to have a dream.. A dream needs miracle in Iraq. Dying in Iraq is easier that dreaming.
Now I am writing; not only to have friends but to show you the reality of the "NEW IRAQ". May be one day you can help restoring my country that I knew; help me in collecting the ashes to build a dream.

Feeling Baghdad

"بغداد جنة بعيوني انا.. بغداد حبها يكبر كل سنة.. و الله و راس اهلنا ما انحني،
والله هي حبنا كلنا.. ما انسى بغداد بيتي و صلاتي ووطني.. اشكد حلوة بغداد مولدي و عرسي و كفني"
ياااااااااااااااااااااااه كم اصبحت الدمعة تسكنني، أحسها في قلبي قبل أن ترطب عيني ما أن اسمع بغداد.
اليوم سمعت بغداد في اغنية و ذكريات. الاغنية هي "بغداد" لعادل عكلة. لا ادري ماذا دفعني الى التفتيش بين اقراص السي دي القديمة و المركونة في زاوية اسفل الكمبيوتر و التي لم المسها منذ ان اُحتلت بغداد. كانت الاتربة تغطي الحافظة الشفافة و تمكنت من التسلل الى الداخل. بعض الاقراص لم تعمل و بعضها الاخر عملت بصعوبة. و كان القرص الاخير مغطيا بأتربة كثيرة مسحتها عّلني أجد عليه اسما ما، و لم أجد أية كتابة او تاريخ. و ما ان وضعته في مشغل الكمبيوتر و صدح صوت عادل و اغنية "بغداد جنة في عيوني انا".. و تذكرت تلك الايام و الصديقة سيتا هاكوبيان مشغولة في اخراج الاغنية للتلفزيون. كانت تفكر وحدها بصمت و احيانا بصوت عال معنا بكيفية تصوير بغداد من زوايا جميلة تخبئ من خلالها ألم الحصار الذي طال حتى الاشجار. و خرجت الاغنية جميلة و بغداد جميلة و لكن الحصار كان قد بدأ يحاصر القلب و يجعل للفرحة طعم الخوف. في أية سنة حصار خرجت الاغنية؟ و تحت أي تهديد بعدوان جديد؟ لا استطيع ان اتذكر. تبدو السنوات بعيدة جدا و كأن الاحتلال أصبح يمحو باصرار ذكرياتنا القريبة و البعيدة. أين هو عادل عكلة الان ليناجي بغداد، اين هي سيتا لتفكر كيف تُظهر بغداد فرحة في تصوير اغنية؟
ضجيج طائرات هليكوبتر امريكية تشوش الاغنية و تلوث الفضاء و طائرة اخرى و صوت انفجار ثم صافرة الانذار تدق في القاعدة الجوية التي اصبحت قاعدة امريكية، ربما سقطت قذائف هاون على القاعدة التي تستهدفها الهاونات دائما و دائما لا نسمع بالخسائر الامريكية.
الامريكان هنا في العراق مثل افلامهم التي تشبه الى حد بعيد الافلام الهندية التجارية مع الفرق في التقنية. فالامريكي السوبر مان يقتل العشرات و يقفز من طائرة ليجده المشاهد على باخرة يقبل سيدة جميلة و في لمح البصر يصبح في قطار مطاردا و دائما هو المنتصر. لا احد يستطيع ان يعرف الخسائر الامريكية غير المعلنة و في الوقت نفسه لا احد يعرف الخسائر البشرية العراقية التي تمضي بفعل "الاخطاء الامريكية" اي بالنيران "الصديقة". قبل ايام في كركوك انفجرت عبوة ناسفة في طريق رتل امريكي و كعادتهم بدأ الجنود الامريكان باطلاق نيرانهم "الصديقة" يمينا و يسارا و كان اكرم، صانع الطرشي و الاب لتسعة اطفال، يحمل الخيار في سيارته الرينو القديمة و كان معه احد العاملين في صناعة الطرشي. و لسوء حظه كان هدفا للنيران الصديقة. هل جُرحا ام قُتلا؟ لا احد يملك الجواب الذي تبحث عنه زوجة اكرم! قالت مصادر الشرطة بأنه كان مجروحا و بحالة حرجة عندما أخذه الامريكان الى المستشفى داخل القاعدة. و سكتت المصادر!!

و ما دام في القلب متسع للألم وضعت قرصا يحمل اسم مارسيل خليفة، و اول اغنية فيه تقول "اجمل الامهات التي انتظرت ابنها و عاد شهيدا"!! لا ادري من الغبي بيننا نحن الذي عشقنا صوت مارسيل و عوده و شعر محمود درويش حين كان العشق ممكننا و الكرامة مضمونة ام مارسيل و ومحمود درويش اللذين صدقا ان العشق الممكن قد يستمر. لقد تحول مارسيل الى الغناء في المهرجانات الفنية و دائما هناك صبايا يرقصن اهتزازا مع اناشيده لانهن يذهبن اساسا للرقص دون استيعاب.. كم كنا أغبياء. هل يعيد هذا الاعتراف المتأخر 30 سنة من الاستماع و الحلم الذي أحال الحياة و العراق كابوسا؟ 30 سنة؟ هل كان مارسيل و مجمود و قبلهما عبد الحليم اطراف في المؤامرة على حلمنا و شبابنا؟ لا مفر من التفكير في مؤامرة و قناة الجزيرة تسحبنا الى معارك جانبية ليبعدنا عما يفعله امراء ووزراء قطر من علاقات مع "اسرائيل". فالجزيرة تدين العلاقات التي يفكر بها برويز مشرف مع "اسرائيل" لكنها لا تشير الى الشيخة موزة التي قدمت الدعوة لوزير التربية الاسرائيلي لزيارة قطر و زارها فعلا و لا تشير الى العلاقات النجارية القطرية الاسرائيلية. و مع كل خطوة قطرية "عملاقة" تجاه اسرائيل تضع الجزيرة شريطا صوتيا لاسامة بن لادن او ايمن الظواهري.. لا مفر من التفكير بمؤامرة.
غزا الشيب رأس مارسيل و غزا الخوف بيروت و لا ادري ان كان محمود درويش ما يزال يصبغ شعره "لان النضال يطالبنا ان نبقى شباب" كما كان صدام حسين يقول دائما، طبعا قبل احتلال بغداد!!
كم كنا اغبياء!!
"امرأة فجرت نفسها في مركز للتطوع في تلعفر" و قبلها قال نازحون من تلعفر بأن الشخص الذي فجر نفسه في نقطة سيطرة للحرس الوطني في تلعفر ابّان الهجوم الامريكي الاخير كان امرأة تسحب معها طفليها الصغيرين و الذين تمزقا معها.. حينها قالت الاخبار بأن العملية الانتحارية تسببت بمقتل 6 من الحرس و الشرطة و امرأة مع طفليها. و اضاف الرواة بأنها كانت زوجة لرجل تم اعتقاله منذ اشهر و قد اتعبها الانتظار و السؤال. تلك المرأة المفترضة و المرأة التي فجرت نفسها اليوم لم تحلما بأن تكونا من ضمن "اجمل الامهات" و مهما كان انتماؤهن و
دوافعهن الا انهنا رفضتا ان تصنفا غبينين و اختارتا النهاية. و اليوم قال "ابو صفوك" رئيس عشيرة الاغوات في تلعفر بأنهم دفنوا 145 شهيدا مدنيا بينهم اطفال و نساء و يتوقعون العثور على شهداء مدنيين آخرين تحت الانقاض. و ابو صفوك مع اهله و اقربائه لم يتركوا تلعفر اثناء القصف الجوي و المدفعي.
في العراق الان لا تنتظر الام ان تكون الام الاجمل بعد انتظار ابن يأتيها شهيدا.. قد يتحول الابن الى "اجمل الابناء الصابرين" حين يعود الى البيت و يجده انقاضا و يكتشف بأن قذيفة مجهولة المصدر قضت على والدته قبل البيت. و قد يُخطف الابن و الزوج و يُقتلا اذا لن ثثوفر الفدية..

و انا اكتب الان و الساعة حوالي العاشرة ليلا من يوم 28 ايلول، اسمع صوتا ينادي من خلال مكبرة صوت "فُقدت نوال قاسم 14 سنة الرجاء ممن يعثر عليها ان يسلمها الى الجامع". مسكينة ام نوال المفجوعة بابنتها و الكونتيسة سارة فيرجسون كانت مساء بلقاء تلفزيوني و سألتها مقدمة البرامج الشهيرة بربارا والترز ان كانت ابنتاها ذات ال16 و 14 سنة تتمتعان مع صديقيهما و تقيمان العلاقات الكاملة!! و ابنة ال14 سنة في العراق تُخطف و تغتصب و تفتل.. او تُسرق من ملجأ و تباع و تنتهي في الشارع!! و تظهر اويرا وينفري في حلقة معادة عن نساء تعدين الاربعين و الخمسين تطالبهن بفتح الابواب و القلوب و عنوان الحلقة "نساء كبيرات و رجال اصغر" و تقول من خلال لقاءات ان المرأة فوق الخمسين تكون اجمل مع شاب يصغرها بعقد او اكثر و تطالب المشاهدات ان يرسلن تجاربهن.. لو ارسلت لها تجربتي قطعا سأشير الى سنوات من عمري اضاعتها و ستضيعها لي دولتها امريكا لامنحها و الامريكان عالما اكثر امنا لتكون هي الاجمل و انا التي اضاعوا لها 30 سنة ما زلت انتظر ان يضيعوا لي اكثر.
قال الصديق العائد الى العراق بعد غربة 25 سنة بأنه يشعر بالغربة هنا ايضا فقد ترك العراق و هو في ال26 و كان البلد رغم الظلم جميلا و حميما و يكتشف الان ان العراق الذي عرفه لم يعد موجودا و اصدقائه الذين كانوا معه في المدرسة و الحي يبدون اكبر منه كثيرا فقد اتعبتهم الحروب و الحصار و الاحتلال.. يشعر بأنه يحرجهم و هو الراجع من اوروبا حيث كان بعيدا عن الحصار و الخوف و القلق، يأكل اكلا صحيا و تعلم كيفية الحفاظ على الشباب روحا و مظهرا.. لا يريد العودة الى اوروبا لقد اختار ان يبدأ غريبا في العراق ال"جديد".
العراق الجديد!! هذا المصطلح الغريب لكنه صحيح فالعراق الذي عرفناه ذهب مع أول يوم احتلال، منذئذ لا اشعر بالانتماء الى الأرض الذي كان يوما العراق و الى المرأة التي كنتها.
